I dunno about these anymore. After the Gilyard feature, I wonder how valid they really are.

My top 3 favorite S's in this draft are 1) Vaccaro, 2) Cyprien and Phillip Thomas. I think Stewart will be fine as our Box Safety ... but We need a Centerfielder. We HAVE to be able to cover those seam routes and somebody who will be the Anti-Dahl when we go Cover 2. CD was just always late to the party.

I'm with you on the Gilyard part... I think Marty had the physical aspects, but he lacked the brain to be a legitimate NFL WR.... But it's hard to base a prospect off these things.

I like the reaction speed though.

But Brockers was on Sports Science as well. I'd say that they're pretty valid when measuring athleticism.

Oh no doubt. When I say "valid", I mean more along the lines of projecting success at the next level.

I have really started to warm up to Vaccaro as a potential selection at 16. Obviously not just because of sports science. It seams like the more analyst evaluate him the more they like him. He is just a football player. Previously I had preferred snagging Elam at 22.

There are other prospects I would choose over him at 16(Austin, Patterson, Warmack and some of the guys that will almost certainly be gone), but he has to be under serious consideration.

I like these sports science segments. Just a different way to look at an athlete.

The more that I studied Vaccaro, the more I saw him as a strong safety, and not a free safety.

I agree with this definitely. I think he can be versatile and play both positions for a team.
