I have been reading that they are monitoring the air quality in LA for Sunday's game.

They have even mentioned possibly postponing or relocation the game.

My question since I am a dumbass when it comes to engineering is that this stadium has a roof.

Wouldn't they be able to filter out some of the smoke that is over LA due to the northern Cal fires?

Not enclosed roof. Sides are open all around to bring in outside air.

It's a valid concern.
A few fires, combined with some weird air pressure have been holding the smoke in, instead of blowing out.

I wont even let my kids play outside the last few days.
I don't know exactly how it is in Inglewood, but 30 miles away(where i live) the air is pretty bad.

I could see it being a big concern if the winds shift too an offshore (Santa Ana's)

We have become a country of unforgivable pussies.
But I understand, we have to protect the people that aren’t there.

Players, coaches, team employees, people who work at the stadium, etc.

Use the thinking part of your brain

Good thing they didn’t put a roof on that stadium. Everyone knows that the LA air is always so great. As a kid, I used to cough myself silly after a baseball game. I’m sure it has improved some, but man.....

For anyone not in Cali right now... This is how it's been for the last week. This shot of the sun was taken 2+ hours before sunset.

Good lord!

I flew up and down the coast from Seattle to Long Beach for the past three days and this smoke thing is freaking unreal!

Thursday night we stayed in Portland and I had a hard time sleeping well because the smoke was so bad. Seattle last night and it was better but still so bad.

We couldn't see any of the ground (until about a mile from the runway) OR mountains the entire three days. Every approach was an "Instrument approach" like we do for fog, heavy snow or heavy rain. Pilots will relate that is bad weather. And it wasn't even weather! I do not recall in 40 years of commercial flying doing so many approaches like that. And all due to smoke! It is thick, and very high up.

But the forecast tomorrow in Inglewood appears to easily pass standards to play. Thank god. Because that is what is REALLY important!

GO RAMS!!!

Prayers for those affected. Came within 1/2 mile of us a couple weeks ago. All is well.

Air is pretty damn awful over almost the whole state of California.

Here’s some drone footage of the skies over San Francisco, set to the music from Bladerunner 2049. The sky was freaking orange all damn day on Wednesday, it was surreal.

Hope the air quality is manageable enough in LA to play the game. But if not, I can see the logic of not exposing your multi-million dollar athletes to toxic air.

All I say is My heart feels for all those effected hurt etc etc by the fire and prays go out for them.

Not to be rude, but F a football game, is it more important than folks burning losing everything losing their families.
