Aaron Donald changed his Twitter to "Former Defensive Lineman" and quickly changed it back.

Reminds me of last year when Schefter reported Brady's retirement, only to take bad what he said. To let Brady officially announce it.

I really think Aaron Donald is retiring this off-season.

I think the problem is that there has been too much retirement speculation from the players and coaches themselves. Last offseason both Donald and McVay flirted with the retirement talk. It creates tensions that are not cohesive to on-field success. Then everyone else piles on. What we need is for a quiet off-season where players and coaches either are silent or stress their commitment to the team. This way, we can also get other FAs to commit. Nobody wants to come to a team in turmoil. It's like all the retirement drama that Brett Favre caused every year. its no good.

How so? These guys are pros, not fans or twitter groupies. It creates tensions with fans for sure. With the players? Nah. They don't need twitter or Mike Florio to inform them correctly. They have DIRECT contact with team mates.

If a player thinks the coach is going to leave, or another star player for that matter, they will start looking for a more stable organization. JMO, but i think it is one shared by a lot of folks.

He probably was going to retire if McVay did but not now.

Not a fan of it either. It irritates me greatly.

Honestly, we have been 3rd or 4th and goal with less than a yard to go. I've said we SHOULD line AD back there before, if only to throw off the D and make them shit their pants a bit. Would be great for him to add a rushing TD to his resume. Make it happen, McVay.
Could you imagine trying to tackle AD?

I would love to see him carry the ball...just once.

I actually responded on Twitter about his profile pic and was like, why does AD look like the most athletic janitor ever lol
