I was gonna list a bunch of articles and info about AD's various charity endeavors but figured people would still rather complain he didn't do what they feel with his charity so it's not worth it.

Of course this is a very generous gift so no criticism here but I am curious as to why his high school didn't get any financial love when he's shelling out this kind of money. It helped him get a scholarship to pitt and doesn't have the resources that Pitt has.

Maybe he already has or plans to or not.
Who says he won’t?

Face it OS, he’s selfish.
He donates that money instead of blowing it on cars, boats and strippers?
Selfish POS

On second thought, I do co-sign the strippers...

I'm curious what he does for charities. I know most high profile athletes do, and I am sure he does too because he is a high character guy.

And you are misunderstanding my post.

Inside LeBron James’s New $8 Million Public School, Where Students Get Free Bikes, Meals, and College Tuition

This is the Gold Standard for difference making by an athlete or celebrity.

But LBJ has WAYYYYY more money than most celebs or athletes.

Still, what he did there is just fantastic.

I'm not saying he won't, or that he should. I am curious if he did or will though. Until now I wasnt aware of any of his charitable gifts but I'm not at all surprised. In the end who's to say who he gives to or how much is right or wrong. Its his money.

To show their appreciation for Donald’s donation, the school is renaming the ground floor of Pitt’s Duratz Athletic Complex to the “Aaron Donald Football Performance Center,” which includes the locker room, training room, and weight room — where the five-time Pro Bowl DT spends much of his offseason.

Donald paid to get his name on something.

I think it's great that they make this huge charitable donations but don't forget it is used as a write off when it comes time to pay their taxes.

Donald’s donation isn’t worthy of criticism but it’s not exactly worth high-praise either.

A rich man gave money to some rich people. That’s basically what it is. No big deal really.

Now, something like Jason Brown’s contributions to society is worthy of tremendous praise.

People with their own insecurities and inadequacies tear down those doing good deeds hoping to mediate them down to their own leves of ineptness of moral fortitude. It’s sad really.

Classic cesspool which is Twitter. Fucking social shit media and society today. Smh.

I'm going to take a cold hearted ruthless capitalist approach here. AD works out in the offseason and when he's visiting home at Pitt. His accountant tells him if he makes a $x charitable donation it will save him $x dollars in taxes. AD says to himself..."Self, if I make this my ultimate gym through a charitable donation, I get a primo workout space for me, help my former college, and get a tax break. Winner winner chicken dinner."

Phil Knight has been doing this not only with his alma mater of UO, but also OSU in Oregon.
