NFLN just touched on a point I have been thinking about all season.

You know those screen shots of coaches calling plays in and using their play sheet to cover their mouths. Whats to stop an opposing team with slightly less than legal tendencies ( like the Patriots) from doing a screen grab and reading those play sheets to be used down the road?

I‘ve wondered the same. Seems very possible.

What if they're just covering up their mouths so their mics can pick up their voice better?

I take my suspicions one step further, what would stop a team that is unscrupulous, I won't name any names, from listening in on those calls?

Everyone keep a look out for trashcan-banging Astros uniforms in the stands of our games!

I am sure with today's technologies, both can be accomplished by one individual with a special skill set

Teams also have film of what their opponents are doing. Along with statistics for down/distance/formation. It's a damn science nowadays. The days of being able to do one thing over and over at the highest level are gone man. You gotta be balanced to sustain offensive punch.

Meh, not buying theres some massive advantage here. Just trying to get an edge off this might require much more than it's worth. Plus it's super risky.

McSlay puts all fake plays on the back of his sheet. :D

He don't need no stinking play sheet anyway... he's got a photographic fucking memory. Sheesh... everybody knows that.

I can guarantee they’re already doing that.

I’ve had that thought for years, no way they don’t have some joker with some insane zoom on his camera lense grabbing photos.

I've got news for you guys if one team is doing it, they all are. We can bash the cheats all we want but I've been in sports for way too long to think otherwise.

Maybe the sheets are written in code, and changed frequently!

I doubt it says “sweep right”....I’m sure it’s in a short hand of their terminology.
I suggested the Rams accidentally “lose” a fake playbook in a Cheatriot rich environment....a paddy wagon....a clam chowder joint.....a strip mall massage parlor.....you get the idea, before the Super Bowl last year.

It is an interesting theory and I think even tho each team calls their plays a little differently they know if it's pass or run by the play call. It wouldn't surprise me if teams do it consistently
