When it’s a game that matters, and the score is close, a funny thing happens...

I stop thinking about logos and uniforms...

I’m not worrying about contracts and salary caps...

I take a break from political, social and societal issues...

I feel a sense of normalcy in a time of pandemic...

That’s why I like football. It’s an escape.

We sometimes forget that during a long offseason.

Good to have it back!

Yup, my entire Sunday comprised of flipping between Redzone and the local broadcasts and draining my phone constantly checking my fantasy scores. Like you listed out, all the off-field stuff means nothing on gameday.

Watching Jimmy G be late on throw after throw was enjoyable.

every game matters in a 16 games schedule

a 162 game schedule(MLB normal season) more than half the games dont mean much..just divisional

NBA plays 82 games.. but not sure since I dont follow

NHL plays 82 games..and every game matters ( to a point)

Why do NHL games matter? Doesn't nearly everyone qualify for the playoffs?

Yea sounds like that should be a poem or something hehe.

I agree, when the game was on it felt like normalcy was back, As if the universe was back in alignment.

But I also noticed for the first time in my 41 years as a Ram fan that my hands were shaking uncontrollably., especially during critical plays. It was a rush but a little scary at the same time! Either I am getting old or I have to stop taking these games so serious!

To make it short the only thing that matters is the end results. Period. Jmho.

In the end we don't worry about the problems along the way. Just the Final Solutions.

Like I posted. All I need want like is a Rams win. But if they don't I know understand it's just a game and life we'll continue.

There's no reason for me to bi#@h if they lose don't have a perfect roster etc etc.

I know this is a Rams Forum and Everyone's is entitled to their opinions, No One has a right to Judge others it's a Sin in my book.

Like I posted, It's just a game in my very humble opinion.

Same for me I needed a serious drink after that game it was intense, not only did I not want to lose to the Cowboys I REALLY didn't want us to lose our first game in our new Stadium, we would not have heard the end of it

The media was already treating it like the Cowboys were opening a new stadium.

We'd have never heard the end of how SoFi was "Cowboys West Coast HQ" and bullshit like that.

Yeah, I had a really enjoyable Sunday. Really took it all in.

Maybe, perhaps like you @AvengerRam I probably mentally set it up to be that way from the start.

Going to do it AGAIN this Sunday!

I love your sign off "And they won't catch him today!" My Ram buddy Joe would utter that line ever time I talked or saw him. He was the greatest Ram fan I ever knew. Sadly he passed at the tender age of 45 just two days before the official announcement that the Rams were returning to Los Angeles. Every time I watch the Rams, read about them in the LA Times and LA Daily News, Joe is at my side. We watched every
Ram game together.

I might very well have missed something but I'm not really sure where you're going with this...

Basically it doesn't matter if we lose games, just win enough to go to the Superbowl.

I use to be a Fanatical Fan and like I posted, I'm not here to Judge others. Someone wants to say, every game matters, their right.

Now if it was posted every College game matters, or Playoffs, I would agree .

Every regular season game matters to me.

That doesn’t mean I’m inconsolable when they lose. But, while the games are going and victory remains in reach, I’m fully locked in and other concerns are put aside.

That’s the escape I’m referring to.
