(Many players slotted at spots are of best case scenario -- within realm of reason -- at being on board)
After months of diligent preparation, the St. Louis Rams are set to navigate through the 2013 NFL draft, hoping for a repeat of their highly successful 2012 draft that saw them land key contributors Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Trumaine Johnson, Chris Givens, Greg Zuerlein, Johnny Hekker and Daryl Richardson, not to mention promising players like Brian Quick, Isaiah Pead and Rokevious Watkins.
In this draft, the Rams are poised to further fortify a roster that was dramatically enhanced a season ago both through the aforementioned draft class and via free agency, thanks largely to the possession of two prized first-round slots in Nos. 16 and 22 – and four total premium picks (rounds one through three).
The following is your NFL draft primer, complete with a viewer’s guide, key Rams draft info and my full seven-round St. Louis mock draft.
Finally, it’s time for the fun of the NFL’s annual rookie selection process to begin.
When: Thursday, 7 p.m. (Round 1); Friday, 5:30 p.m. (Rounds 2-3); Saturday, 11:00 a.m. (Rounds 4-7)
TV: NFL Network, ESPN & ESPN2
