Coach, initially I thought this was a repeat of a post I made with ANOTHER interview with Armstead. This one's slightly different where he continues to sing Verse's praises and talks about what he needs to add to his repertoire.

If you think it's a repeat, give it a a go, same song, different verse - well, same Verse actually!

Lol, I posted it this morning in my other thread about Verse winning DROY. It's only 30 secs on V8, but still fun.

Yea I had the feeling it might be a repost. My apologies,

I know Verse is not AD there is only one AD.

But hearing this All Pro OT Vet start using phrases that separate
Verse from his peers and veterans both active and since retired
saying something to the affect that there are really strong players in this league, but
Verse is a in a whole another class of strong.

I thought that even though it may have been posted maybe
someone missed it.

Well, let's continue to blow smoke up his ass and hope he develops a counter!
He will. I hope he and AD spent some of that time together working on just that.

The whole pancaking the QB with the OT is awesome, but yea Verse needs to have a
bag of different techniques and counters when the OT guesses right.

I hope Verse doesn't listen to all the applause. This type of talk tends to make most people let up and soak it in like they have made it to the top of the hill and need to stop and take in the view.

I do not think Verse has take it easy in him.
He strikes me as a player with a lot of drive to be great. He knows, like it or not the shoes he has to try and fill.
I know, it takes everyone to try and make up for AD retiring. But, its Verse.
McSnead is not dumb, in getting Fisk they knew they would push each other. It worked.
Verse was right in saying he could have had 10 more sacks if he just finished the plays. If he did, he would have made the Pro Bowl as a rookie. He is a freak.
Finish Mr. Verse. I believe you can horse collar a QB in the pocket. Grab that bitch and throw him down.

Watch Shula put Verse man up on the smallest or weakest O-lineman and just let him bullrush the QB. Will work every time. It doesn't matter whether it's a tackle or guard. I'm sure Verse can place his hand in the dirt. Think of the stunts Shula will be able to concoct with Verse and anyone else on that D-line. Will work every time. (PS - this is why I am not an NFL coordinator).

He did make the Pro Bowl. Of course, no one watches that awful spectacle anymore so I get why you'd miss it.
Next season the NFL will try to improve the Pro Bowl Event with Hacky-Sack and Frisbee-Golf competitions.

Early reminder to all ROD members ... Set those DVRs!

Well, if you make the Pro Bowl with 4 sacks you are making an impression. Was he an alternate or something ?
I don't think so. He led the league in pressures and probably made his biggest impression with that. Pro Bowl nods are not necessarily stat driven. They can be more of a popularity contest.

Not sure the blue font is entirely necessary. Apparently, the pillow fights last year weren't watched by many except for teenage girls.

I use the Blue Font just in case there is a Naive, Clueless ROD poster who can not tell sarcasm without it.

Now, tell me more about these pillow fights. Was it teams or individuals, and did Verse participate?

I think AD knows how to keep V8 grounded and humble. :sunglasses:
