I like the Hayes choice. Ogletree is also under the radar for most of the NFL world because of his injury and could have a monster this season.

I would throw out there for consideration Havenstein and Britt. I'm hoping for big years for both. Havenstein was a rookie on a shaky and young line who just got better as the season wore on and Britt has been overshadowed by terrible QB play but played with heart, hands, and fights for the ball.

I would ad Tru Johnson to this list! I think he's better than Josh Norman, and look at all the press Norman gets!!

It's funny that the national media likes to point out the debilitating loss of Chris Long, and act as though Hays will be a pale imitation of him....lol...It has seemed to me that Hayes has been the true starting DE on that side, for most of two years, and the team's defense was less effective with the worn out out Long, struggling out there the few times that he did....

Tough call - we're usually being underestimated, ignored and/or misdiagnosed. I agree with Hayes but would add:

1. E.J. Gaines
- Tru is consistently listed as our only proven CB by those who didn't watch E.J. outplay both starters less than two years ago. If he's Gaines is healthy, Tru is #2.

2. Michael Brockers - The significant difference in our run defense is all too evident when he's not in there..

3. T.J. McDonald - He is the leader of our D, and his possible absence will be felt.
