as is usual for most nfl hacks, the guy's an idiot.

goff is a system qb? again?

imagine any other qb going into new orleans in the nfc championship game, with all that noise, going behind early which created more noise and leading the team to victory? can you imagine the superlatives that would be thrown his way? i never heard a word about how well goff played to bring the rams back and win.

then this guy says he can't handle pressure. get the fuck outta here. brainless idiot.

This.
How many teams have come back from a 13-0 deficit on the road, in a conference championship game and won? Not to mention that the comeback included not having his MVP RB playing?
You are so right... ANY other QB pulls that off and they probably aren't even whining about the missed PI at the end of the game, they'd be too busy bowing down

I remember there being doubt about Montanas level of play once he left the nest of SF.
All QBs are system QBs. Meaning, they have found success or a coach smart enough to match the system to their skill set.
How much success would Wilson have if his mobility went away and he had to read D and get the ball out in under 3 seconds? How would Brady do trying to do what Wilson does?
I find the whole conversation sort of silly.

The difficulty with what you're stating; however correct, is that it doesn't coincide with the narrative that the Rams cheated their way into the Super Bowl.

Every good to great QB is a system QB - period. Every good coach either adapts to and works around his QBs skills or finds one that has the skill set he desires. But ONLY a very good QB can demonstrate the skill set to effectively run an offense in the NFL. And ONLY a very good QB puts up numbers like Goff did and helps lead their team to back to back playoff appearances - ESPECIALLY when his #1 offensive weapon is essentially taken away from him.

Regarding the saints game, I can only add that it wasn't McVay's system making those 2 clutch sidearm throws underneath a defender's arms while being chased down...under pressure.

Say what you want about a player and the system in which they play, but, sooner or later, you have to make a play (or 2).

BTW, Goff was missing more than his #1 weapon (Gurley). Kupp is a major factor in the success of that offense.
