A TON of character concerns about this guy before the draft. Falcons were rolling the dice.

One scout said, “Pearce Jr. is seen as the player with the worst character report of any player in this draft class."

No freaking way that Snead and McVay would have even considered drafting this kid with that much risk.

The more I read of James Pearce Jr. and what he did, the more I’m terrified for his ex. The poor lady was stalked night and day (considering he literally missed practice to do it), he crashed his car into her vehicle and hit a cop with his just to get after her, and the judge seriously thinks that a meaningless restraining order and a bail he can easily pay is going to stop him from making her another domestic violence statistic?

Make that shit make any sense - because if that lady has anything happen to her because of this (either if he does something awful himself or if he orders her death like Carruth did his significant other) - if literally anything negative at all happens to her that results in permanent deprivation of a normal life - not only should JPJr. should get the fucking needle immediately after his trial and inevitable appeals are exhausted (not that I’d even want that possibility at that point, but we have to follow the rule of law, lest anarchy reign supreme), but the judge responsible should fucking join him.

You see this shit all the fucking time: a meaningless, unenforceable restraining order allowing domestic abusers to keep targeting their spouses, their kids, their families to the point of a tragedy. This is entirely preventable. All of the lives - of the women and men alike; of boys and girls in abusive relationships with a violent other in any way - lost to domestic violence apparently haven’t given people of authority a wake-up call to actually make sure the victims and those around them are safe.

This is where the 2nd amendment comes in handy for the targeted victim. Lock & load... and be ready.
