There is a lot of football left to be played...

But, with a fun week and excited mindset ahead of our playoff game... I’d like to give a 2020 roster shout out to...

Troy Freaking Hill

I love this guy. I have always sort of had this weird like for him as a player. Sort of the scrappy SOB you always want in the scrum with you. He might not always win his battles but he will fight you... win or lose... He’s “in”. Always seems to be giving it 100%, sometimes out of control. Yet, it all offsets the occasional mistake, recognizing he’s not a physically elite guy.

That INT vs AZ was huge. He’s had 7 picks the last 3 seasons and a nice 5yr career with the Rams as a role player guy who gets good snaps.

Maybe he’s like Gonzo of the Muppets, or Grover on Sesame Street, Kate Jackson of Charlie’s Angels... maybe even a cockroach... You‘re glad he’s on your side, even if he’s not the all star.

To win a SB, you need guys like Hill on your roster.

Cheers Troy Hill! :beer2:

Anyone else have a player to recognize? I hear we have a guy named Donald on the roster. LOL

Troy Hill has always been a favorite of mine as well. He's the definition of "scrappy". And I really like that he seems to enjoy playing the game.

The liked HIll coming out of Oregon and he's been with us since the Jeff Fisher days. Hill has had some ups & downs, but the Rams (both coaching staffs) liked him and he's working hard to be the player his is.

Ramsey on defense. His play and intensity have instilled a swagger into the Rams defense. Woods on offense. His leadership by example and sure handed play have served as a steady positive influence.

Me too. Been defending this guy for years and questioning why fans wanted to cut him every year. Outstanding year by him.

Sebastian Joseph-Day - IMO he is a HUGE reason why our defense took off this year. Plays the run well and can push the pocket too.

AD and Ramsey are obvious. They are really special A+ players.

Okay, my game ball is Darious Williams. NO ONE expected him to be as lock down as he's been opposite Ramsey. And Ramsey's been so good that teams often motion their #1 away from Ramsey leaving him to Williams.

He's had such an exceptional year that even when we tender him with a #1, teams may be willing to pay that price.

Oh yeah, Darious Williams gets a game ball from me.

Is Hill going to be a free agent after this season?

Matt Gay, for me. He stabilized a tenuous (at best) kicking situation, and has made the kicks we’ve needed him to make. I want him to be re-signed.

But yes, Troy Hill has made me eat some serious stirfried crow on him. Mmm...crow stirfry...

Did the crow have pistols strapped to its talons?

MMM Fried anything. Sometimes I raid the pantry for the fried onion toppings and just eat them like they are my lunch. My wife aint gonna be happy when she goes to use them sometime soon.

Sebastian Joseph-Day, the guy hit the gym hard in the offseason and developed into a very reliable and, more often than not, an immovable object in the middle of our defense. He is exactly what we needed to help this become a complete defense by making the run defense a strength instead of a liability like it was last season. He leads all lineman in tackles and is 6th overall for the Rams.

AD and Ramsey for sure no question about them. But the following players really made or season in various games

Darious Williams
Troy Hill
Cam Akers (he reminded us that we can have a guy who can run like Gurley did)
Matt Gay (finally could breathe again on field goals hahaha)
John Wolford (he won a big game as a rookie starter and played well)
Robert Woods (he shows up every game)
Jordan Fuller (basically took Rapp's job as a rookie)
Terrell Burgess (hated to see him get hurt)

Kupp, Woods, Whit, Williams, Ramsey, JJ, Floyd

Don't get Hill he was the worst of 3 db starters highest completion rate against him.

I sure hope if Goff starts he shines. He’s been a big part of the Rams success under McVay and he appears to be a great person.

John Johnson. I noticed he got votes for Associated Press, PFF and Pro Football Journal 's All Pro teams.

And Michael Brockers, who might be one of the most underappreciated Rams ever.
