So what do we know so far?

O'Brien is out as coach and GM in Texas.
Quinn is out in Atlanta.
Patricia is out in Detroit.

Hot seat?
Pederson is reported to be at major odds with Eagles leadership and they're having a terrible season.

As nice of a guy as Anthony Lynn is you don't lose to NE like that after continually blowing games in the 4th Q. Spanos is a cheap POS so may not want to pay 2 coaches which would keep Lynn at the helm.

How long is the life line that's attached to Marrone in Jax?

The most obvious that needs to go IMO is Adam Gase.

McCarthy in Dallas I'd imagine gets another shot.

Our guy Zac Taylor could also be on the hot seat though I think a lot of that is Mike Brown is terrible and they just can't draft at all.

HC Candidates?

NFL Guys

Our guy Staley has to get some consideration even though he's in his first year as a coordinator.

Robert Salah should absolutely get a shot and I hope he gets it in the AFC :D

Bieniemy is the very hot name among OC's. He has some skeletons in his closet and has been rumored to not be a good interview but his name is too hot somebody will hire him.

Dennis Allen? That Saints defense is outstanding and even though he already had one shot and was terrible he could get another shot.

Joe Brady has done a decent job as OC for the Panthers and was a very hot name last year.

Todd Bowles is one of the better DC in the league and should get another shot.

Saints OC Pete Carmichael has been mentioned in the past but how much input does he really have and what does he really know? We all know asshole face runs things there.

Brian Daboll has done a stellar job in Buffalo with that offense again same for Leslie Frazier on defense.

Byron Leftwich will get interviews though he may need more time like some others on this list.

College guys (some of these guys I don't know much about just have seen their names so will list)

Matt Campbell Iowa St, Lincoln Riley OK St, Pat Fitzgerald Northwestern, Urban Meyer, James Franklin Penn St, Dan Mullen Fla and Brian Kelly.

Again don't know much about some of the college guys but Fitzgerald and Riley I think could make the jump and would be excellent coaches. I don't think Dabo leaves Clemson same as Sabban with Bama.

Thoughts?

Oh this popped up today which got me thinking about this thread.

If I could rub magic pixy dust on some changes I would like to see:

49ers DC has Robert Saleh depart to HC Jax Jags they would love for him to return after departing from them in 2016! Time for him to ruin some AFC's Sundays

Saints DC has Dennis Allen depart for HC Atlanta Falcons to remain in the deep south. Major reconstruction era as large as back in 1865.

Seattle's lost OC Schottenheimer runs down to AFC Watsonville Texans as the new HC. I am tired of that hard core running attack twice a season.

Saints OC Pete Carmichael goes to LA as the AFC Chargers HC. Rams will see him often but only in as they utilize the same stadium.

Wonder if Matt Nagy gets the boot too.

Teams need to be careful to find the right coach, not the headline name.

If the Chiefs OC goes to the Jets, he's not gonna have Pat Mahomes to make him look that great.

Little Shotty getting a HC job would be too comical.

Nagy is one I left off but yes I think he could be done and another name I left off was Harbaugh. He's done in Michigan and Detroit or Chicago make too much sense as a destination for him.

Does Gase really get another year as a HC?
He's taken turmoil wherever he goes.

Jets could be looking for a new HC again as well.

He's on my list and I'd be shocked if they didn't make a move.

Without a deep threat this is the best way to go about things. I love the 12 personnel stuff and mixing up the formations. SF does this well too.

TY Hilton would look nice in a Rams uni next year...assuming we don't find an AJ Green, Metcalf, Julio Jones, Davante Adams, Stefon Diggs. Lol.

Maybe the 9ers go after Staley when Saleh bolts out of town. Just throwing the possibility out there!

I don't think Fitzgerald ever leaves Northwestern. James Franklin has a 38 million dollar buyout and he's seems like more of a rah rah college coach than a technical cerebral NFL mind. There are a few college openings available. Auburn and Illinois are two recent ones. It wouldn't surprise me to see Matt Campbell wooed by Auburn.

I hope the NFL passes over Staley this year because of his lack of experience and the fact that he's a defensive coach (offensive minds are all the rage). But I truly believe Brandon Staley might be the Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan of defensive coaches. He's brilliant. If he goes, I hope it's to the AFC. I don't want to face him.

He's not going to SF for a lateral job, and they couldn't hire him away for a lateral job if he's under contract here.

Over here in Texas literally every one I know hates Mccarthy. It started with lots of stupid decisions like not taking FG's when needed and other coaching blunders that cost games. Plus the defense going to complete and utter garbage. Also, the offense is loaded with playmakers and was tops before he got there, so what does he really bring? Once Dak went down it was all a mute point though. Hard to fire a guy after one year if his QB went down.

Rodgers sure looks better with a more modern offense though which doesn't reflect well on Mccarthy.

The Cowboys fans remember our offense from the playoff game and that time Gurley took that pass to the house in their house to beat them. They all want a Mcvay but got a Mccarthy.

Jerry has pride though. The old Yoda would have to admit he made a bad head coach pick.

It's the only thing I miss about not working at the office anymore, Whining Cowboy fans coming in complaining about their terrible owner and coach every Monday Morning.

Jerry hiring McCarthy was a real head scratcher for many. The league has passed many of these old school guys up because they don’t change with the times.
Plus many thought McCarthy really benefitted from having a draft guru GM and two very good to great QBs for so many years. They made him look good.

That’s my hope as well, but an antsy organization may feel it’s too risky to pass up a guy like Staley, who is not only a very good defensive mind but also a great communicator. He’s had so many accolades all season. He took a Wade Phillips coached defense into the stratosphere.

But they did pass on Saleh last year who garnered similar praise.

Maybe we get lucky and Staley decides that he is not ready to become a head coach just yet. Maybe he’s enjoying his current situation with a well run organization, great coaches and assemblage of talented players that he has. As a first time DC this level of success has to feel amazing and which team will he go to that has another AD and Ramsey on it?

What about the Pittsburgh DC - would he be a HC candidate?
I could see the possibility but I think there are younger and hotter defensive names out there.
