I realize we would still have to beat them at home during the season but everyone knows that games ramp up as the season goes on. If a team is in it near the end, the fans are louder and the team is amped.
It is a predetermined advantage to Seattle to close out the season at home against a division rival yet again. You can't know if the Rams are going to be in it before the season starts. The NFL brags about equality and fairness and then schedules the Rams on the road at Seattle 4 of the last 5 years to end the season. That my friend is bullshit no matter how you slice it. Besides, the way it was always supposed to work was that the teams with the least wins were supposed to get the easier schedule - not the toughest. While you have to be able to beat any team on a given Sunday, we all know that the home team generally has an advantage - especially when talking about rival games. In 2010, if we played that game in St Louis, we are in the playoffs. The 12th man was no where near as loud during the season that year.
