Just a reminder to everyone how many so called sure picks end up as
Busts.

Even in round 1 the bust factor can be huge.

It's funny because I just mentioned this draft. I pointed out that the top two WRs from this draft ran a 4.57 40 (DeAndre Hopkins) and a 4.71 40 (Keenan Allen). Just saying.

But yea, the 2013 Draft was abnormally bad. The interesting thing is if you compare it to the 2011 Draft. If you look at the first round of that draft, it's full of All Pros, Pro Bowlers, and future Hall of Famers (except for the QBs sans Newton). It shows just how different talent level can be from year to year.

I didn't know they were that slow.
Makes me feel like Williams, Davis and Kupp might be better prospects than I've been giving them credit for.

2 pro bowlers in the first 17 picks. That is epic failure.

Meanwhile the Cowboys were mocked for Taking Consensus pro bowler Travis Fredrick at 31.
People also criticized the bears for taking Kyle long at 20.
My buddy a Cincy fan was so pissed the Bengals took a TE (Eifert) at 21.

I don't think that Corey Davis should be in that group. He's a 4.45 to 4.50 type guy when healthy.

To be fair Kennan Allen was hurt

Keenan Allen was called slow throughout the process. His 40 times only confirmed that. Let's not misrepresent the issue. Allen felt healthy enough to run. He wasn't ever going to run a fast 40. His game now doesn't revolve around speed. It's all about skill, quickness, hands, and mental acuity.
