1. That was really ugly.

2. It starts with the offensive line. Horrible performance, particularly by the interior.

3. Matthew Stafford had little chance on most of the pressure situations, but both INTs were on him. The first one was something that should never happen to a veteran like him. The second wasn't much better.

4. I thought Sean McVay was slow to adjust his protections.

5. Stafford is better than Jared Goff in most every aspect of QB play. The exception, however, might be rollouts and bootlegs. He doesn't look particularly natural on those plays.

6. It was hardly the reason we lost, but there were some bullshit calls by the refs. The holding call on Havenstein that negated a first down in the fourth was ticky tack (the kind of "hold" that can be called on most every play, and should not be called in that situation). The roughing call on Aaron Donald was an absolute joke.

7. Its somewhat ironic that our running game was fairly effective. The situation of the game made it irrelevant.

8. Shame to waste such a strong performance by the defense. 195 total yards/3.5 yards per play allowed.

9. Seemed like the Titans had a decent amount of fans at the game.

10. In 1999, the Rams played the Titans in the middle of the season. They got down 21-0, as the Titans harassed Kurt Warner, sacking him 6 times. Though the Rams made it closer than today's contest (losing 24-21), they would fall that day. We all know what happened in the rematch.

11. FWIW, by the way, my preseason Super Bowl pick was Rams vs. Titans.

12. At least we're not the Bills, who lost to the Jaguars 9-6 today.

13. Or the Cowboys, who were dominated by the Broncos.

14. Or the Packers, who lost with a backup who is clearly not ready to take over for Aaron "I'm such a victim" Rodgers.

15. The Cardinals are making it tough for the Rams. Unlike the Cowboys, Packers and Bucs, who will likely coast to division titles, the Rams have to catch a Cardinals team that is suddenly a full game and a tiebreaker up on them.

16. While I was hoping to see Von Miller tonight, I understand why they would not wish to rush him. Hopefully, he will be ready to debut with the Rams next Monday night against the 49ers, and then will have 2 weeks to get acclimated before the stretch run.

17. I'm thinking that Matthew Stafford is going to need some rest during the bye as well.

18. Matt Gay was a real find. We're fortunate to have him.

19. If the Rams can't get up next week... Monday night... vs a 49ers team that has won the last 4 meetings... need to redeem themselves before the bye....

20. Well, nobody said this was going to be easy. Okay, maybe somebody did, but he's probably going back and deleting those posts.

10. That's the game Fred Miller had like a 100 false starts. After the game it was discovered the Titans were playing crowd noise over the PA system when we had the ball which was against league rules

Flashback to last week when the aints beat Tommy boy, then lose this week to the Falcons.

You get the Bengals being crowned when they romped the Ravens then get beat by the Jets before getting romped by the Browns.

Whatever, just beat the shitters next week and all will be forgiven and forgotten.

No running game!!!
I don't think that was the issue. Henderson had 11 carries for 55 yards. He wasn't ineffective... it was the deficit that eliminated the running game.

Both losses had this in common. So the silver lining too is that we actually ran the ball pretty well vs both teams. Room to grow I guess we'll see where they go from here.

We got outplayed for sure. But down 21-9 and we get a three and out and the refs call a roughing the passer because AD breathed on Tannehill. That was BS. I also didn't like that they called ticky tacky holding calls on the Rams while Ram defenders are getting horse collared by offensive linemen. I also could not understand why there were so many referee caused delays in the game.

Not sure the outcome changes but the officiating was really bad in this game. But with fair officiating, maybe the Rams might have still had life at the end of the game.

Henderson ran well but how many times have we seen McVay not call running plays inside the 10 yard line. Too many times. Just saying...

That's a different issue... and I don't disagree.

This is Shanahans's 5th year. They had losing records in three of those seasons and after the Rams destroy them on MNF, they'll be headed for 4 losing seasons in 5 years under Shanahan. But I suspect he's not yet on the hot seat.

I saw that the Rams played 11 personnel the entire game, probably would have been beneficial to play some 12 and keep an extra blocker in there.

This^ McVay's Kryptonite has always been he abandons the run too quickly. Rams were running well initially and IMO, should have stayed the course. Henderson looked good and with some sprinkle of Michel I felt that would have been better against the Titan defense.

Slow down the pass rush, but the mistakes killed us as they always do, plus I want Koski returning all punts and kickoffs and if he can't do it, then activate Brandon Powell from the practice squad, who has more experience at the NFL level doing both PR&KR.

Tanny got a free roughing call, but paid the price on Obo's....everything they got last night, EVERYTHING, came off our mistakes....play a clean game and we win going away....2 picks lead to 14 points...1 TD drive "aided" by 30 yds of personal fouls....and the other TD drive had that absolutely ridiculous face masking call away from the play when BOTH players were mixing it up....I'd really like McVay to work on some middle screens for when the pass rush is getting home...you have to get the DL thinking instead of pinning ears...

I still cant believe they overturned the Higbee TD. That makes it 21-10, different momentum
Tennessee was nothing special in the game, they will probably lose to the Saints next week. The holding call on Whit was atrocious considering the holding on Donald all game, save the one flag they did throw when he sacked Tannehill any way

As KJD stated, our defense certainly played well and would have reflected even better without the refs being employed by the Titans. Without Staffords 2 early fuck ups, we are up on the score board. Now, obviously other things could have happened, but we literally gave them 14 points to start the game. They really did nothing on offense to speak of.

Lets get the offense figured out McVay and Stafford and take out all of your frustrations on the whiners on Monday night for the world to see. Based on the ass kicking the whiners took from the cards back up QB, there is no reason in the world we should not dominate that game.

That's interesting there was the comment (forgot who) that Stafford prefers staying between the tackles. Mcvay prefers the rollouts and bootlegs. A QB that can move is a big asset in today's NFL. Hopefully, McVay and Stafford can get it together. I think they need to get Stafford on the move early in games and establish the run. If the offensive looks good then mix in pocket passes.
