1. That was a disgraceful performance.

2. Let's start with the defense. You know exactly what the 49ers are going to do, and you let them. And, in case anyone forgot, this was a 3-5 49ers team - not some world beating juggernaut.

3. Tackling - bad.

4. Coverage on Kittle and Samuel - hideous.

5. Effort level - pathetic.

6. How about the offense? Key drops resulting in a pick 6 and two second half 3 and outs. Plus, a couple by Jefferson. WTF?

7. Stafford was unsteady in the pocket despite only moderate pressure, and off target on many throws.

8. Coaches get a failing grade. Poor game plan on defense and no adjustments. Stupid calls before the half (poorly designed screen pass on second down, idiotic fake FG) prevented Rams from ending first half with some momentum.

9. The running game was fine... but irrelevant.

10. Same could be said about our defensive stars. Donald made plays. Miller did too. Ramsey had some nice break-ups... but irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

11. Do the last two weeks create a blueprint? Yes and no...

12. Yes... for teams that can play tough and physical and have the discipline to march down the field methodically.

13. No... not every opponent is built to play that way... thankfully.

14. Normally, I'd hate having a bye after a loss, but this team desperately needs a week off to regroup.

15. Hopefully, we can use the time to stop welcoming new players on Twitter and refocus on fundamentals.

16. Hopefully, we can use the time to fully integrate two very talented players who can help down the stretch.

17. Hopefully, we can use the time to practice countermeasures for the types of strategies that have killed us in the past two games.

18. Hopefully, McVay will remember how successful his offense can be with a true commitment to the run.

19. The Rams are still in great shape for making the playoffs and only a game back in the division standings (though, with tiebreaker issues, they will probably need to gain two games on Arizona).

20. Me... I'm going to take a few days, maybe a week, to cool off. This has been a tough two weeks. But I'm just a fan... I can't do anything but wait two weeks and hope to see a better effort at Green Bay. Its up to the Rams to regroup and hit the stretch run with a vengeance. The talent is there, but talent is not enough. The Rams need to control the narrative and force teams to play their game. Otherwise... "all in" will go from triumphant rallying cry to punch line.

21 Rest Stafford so he can recover from the back pains that is causing his throws to be off target lately.

Yes - I am going with the excuse that Stafford must be hurting to cause all these bad throws

Agree with much of that.

1) We missed Robert Woods so much. McVay is gonna have to adjust to not having that role in the offense because Skow is just too new a player to get into it. We cannot succeed if we just try to have someone "fill" that role. It cannot be filled, so we have to do things differently or fail.

2) Stafford has got to be sharp, early. These slow starts are killing us. Worse, there are at least 3 INTS out there both games because DBs can't generally catch. If they had sticky hands, they coulda dropped 50 on us.

3) we have to run the ball and stick with it. Also, where's the play action?

4) Morris and this D has been taken to the woodshed TWICE in a row by heavy running teams. GB and AZ can play this style as well. Hopefully, we focus on our run D and figure this out because forget the playoffs, we play enough teams that can play smash mouth football to make the rest of the season a real tough slog and horrible to watch

5) TACKLING. If we don't figure it out, we're sunk.

6) I don't like Morris, but he's not Staley. Against the 49ers, we are much better served going old school 3-4. You can't give them a light or lighter box which we did most of the night.

7) Special teams is short bus special. We should attempt NO fakes until this unit can show it can cover basic punts. Hekker is right back to short punting it so we can prevent returns. I guarantee with how this night went, if he boomed a few punts, the returns were there for the 9ers. Hekker and Gay are the bright spots on a really lackluster unit.

8) McVay has to improve his situational awareness. BOTH of those Pick 6s were in situations where the defender had no punishment for trying to make a play. It wasn't like Stafford missed a free WR, so when backed up, maybe go with what works and run a little?

9) McVay needs a legit OC who can check him on his tendencies... because especially when behind, he gets so damn predictable that most of us fans can call the play he's gonna call. He's GOT to both scheme significantly better against power teams and mix up his play calling.

10) Okay, the bright spot. Both OBJ and Van had decent nights and are still super amped and stoked to be here. That's good because all Von's seen of us is two straight blowout and he'd be within his rights to ask, "what the heck did I just walk in to?" I think the players haven't lost faith and will work that much harder during the bye to get back on track and get OBJ and Von fully into the playbook... or at least MUCH more than they are now.

Yeah, maybe. His location has been off these last two games... like way off.
