I don't think anyone is arguing that point, but I just think it would be closer than most people think. This 2014 Rams team would run the ball down their throats and keep the GSOT on the sidelines as much as possible.

While anything can happen in a one game scenario, I highly doubt this would be a close game. With the rules of today and in a dome, the 99 team blows away this team. The Rams 99 team's oline was that good in pass protection. I think Pace is about as good as it gets to match up with Quinn. Sorry but I don't see the game being close at all.
Maybe the first couple series, but that defense was the very stout that year, and the '14 Rams offense is a giant question mark. Only 5 teams rushed for more than 75 yards against the Rams in 99, and they ranked in the top 5 in total defense.
A front seven of Carter-Farr-Agnew-Wistrom with Jones-Fletcher-Collins would put up more than a fight against our current OLine, and with the GSOT scoring almost at will on the other side, Sam would be throwing early, he would be throwing often, and we would see a ton of 3 and out. Like I said above, 17-21 lead by the half, and the mad scientist would have 15 minutes to dissect the defense again on the first drive putting the game out of reach.
Sorry guys, this game wouldn't be close. It would be a beat down

The 99 team had 5 HOF players on it (not counting Holt), had great depth with guys like Az Hakim, Phoehl, Conwell, Holcolm and a very solid D. Heck Winstrom/Agnew/Farr/Carter is not even that far off of this teams starting 4 on the D line.
This current versions O got manhandled by a historically bad Dallas D last year.
The 99 team had 5 HOF players on it (not counting Holt), had great depth with guys like Az Hakim, Phoehl, Conwell, Holcolm and a very solid D. Heck Winstrom/Agnew/Farr/Carter is not even that far off of this teams starting 4 on the D line.
This current versions O got manhandled by a historically bad Dallas D last year.
