So true something always went wrong. Knox was Marty Schottenheimer before him.The old days of pain and sorrow.54-15-1; 3-5 in the postseason.
A loss I realize that, but look at those golden clad uniforms. Still was the best uniform Rams ever had with maybe adding the blue facemask later. Anyways this was a tough loss and I believe made Knox more conservative in future playoffs.
IMO, that loss made Knox more conservative come postseason. Rams in Knox's first year did pass quite a bit, when the opportunity was there, in fact, in the first game that season against Dallas, Knox felt they had to pass to win. What exactly are you trying to say?

Actually it wasn't a phantom call on Mack, TE Pat Curran did jump as Enberg eludes to it and the 74 highlights, but in 1976 at Minnesota, Ron Jessie scored and that damn octogenarian official called him out at the one foot line. There was always some kind of flukey BS that tripped us up in post seasons. Like that Mud Bowl, etc. Phantom call on Tom Mack…. QB injuries….
Yeah I remember you posting you were at that Browns game. So close brother, so close, but yet so far.You tryin' to break my heart again? The week before this game I watched the Rams beat the Browns and were spoken of as Super Bowl contenders, if not the favorites the next week..
SONOFA...
That game was brutal. So '70's of them to play a game of such ineptitude.I just felt Knox felt in post season, you were better playing things close to the vest
AND no homefield advantage when you deserved it! SCREW the Cowgirls! That game was brutal. So '70's of them to play a game of such ineptitude.
Combined:
Fumbles lost: 4
Interceptions: 3
David Freaking Ray missed kicks: 3
Sacks: 12 (Seven by the Rams, 2.5 by Jack Youngblood)
Hadl: 7-23 passing! 133 yards. Take away a Jack Snow (50) and Harold Jackson (40) Hadl 5-21 43 yards 1 int. This gentlemen is how you lose a game.
Right? First DEI playoff homefield award! Didn't earn it!AND no homefield advantage when you deserved it! SCREW the Cowgirls!
And that carried over to the following season. Hadl hurt his back pushing his stalled car and was never the same.Hadl: 7-23 passing! 133 yards. Take away a Jack Snow (50) and Harold Jackson (40) Hadl 5-21 43 yards 1 int. This gentlemen is how you lose a game.
Really? That is fascinating. How do you get these little nuggets, Den? You're like the Paul Harvey of ROD! Thanks, brotherAnd that carried over to the following season. Hadl hurt his back pushing his stalled car and was never the same.
Early in 74 at a Ram practice Owner Carroll Rosenbloom asked Hadl what was wrong with his arm because his passes were wobbly and Hadl responded that it wasn’t his arm, it was his back. A couple weeks later CR traded him to Green Bay.
(No more wobbly passes for me....yes sir, I've got my eye on that young man Pat Haden across town...he's got a cannon for an arm. He'll light up this league!)Early in 74 at a Ram practice Owner Carroll Rosenbloom asked Hadl what was wrong with his arm because his passes were wobbly and Hadl responded that it wasn’t his arm, it was his back.
