If we are going to talk about unfair schedules every year, how about we take the Bills, Jets, and Dolphins away from the Patriots?

Giving away a home game is infuriating. Is the team trying to lose. Home field advantage is a real thing in the NFL and to give that away is lunacy. Hate it.

Yeah it's kind of screwy that it's on the road vs Seattle near or on the last game of the season that many times in a row. Reminds me of 1984-88 where the Rams mostly had to go to SF for their 16th game (in 1985 it was the 14th) and HC Robinson complained about it in a Times story and the NFL ("oops we didn't notice that") then scheduled them at SF in early 1989. So it's kind of a legit complaint, but you know what to play devil's advocate if you face a tougher team near the end they may rest their starters depending on the situation. And lesser teams have played as spoilers near the end too. So arguments both ways.

All that home field win % stat stuff is just that, stats. Doesn't mean any team will win their home game. Stuff happens.

As a counter to this, home-field advantage may mean more in terms of winning% earlier in the season, but aren't the games more important later in the season?

I get that a win is a win. But you have less margin for error in regards to the playoff race in December than September. So it's meaningful to be at a disadvantage then, even if it's not quite as large as it would be in September.

I think we played Seattle the last game of the Season for the Division Lead in Sam Bradford's Sophomore year, what 2012. Had we won, we would have gone to the playoffs, and Seattle would have stayed home. We were 7-7-1 at the time. Fisher's first year.
