Where will Stedman Bailey play?

I can't see him taking snaps away from Quick. Does he push Britt for 1st team reps? Or is he just going to have his packages in 3 and 4 WR sets and otherwise backup the 1s?

I have a suspicion that we may have him back for game 3. I know he will have some ST impact, I'm hoping he makes a difference for the offense as well.

Bailey might be the best receiver on the team. I have more hope for him than I do Kenny Britt, and if he's showing signs of breaking out, my top 3 receivers are Quick (damn it feels good to say that and mean it), Bailey, with Austin in the slot.

They'll probably alternate between putting him in for Britt and Austin. They'll make sure everyone gets reps until someone starts showing they're much better than the others.

He's playing slot. Austin gets moved all over the field. But, mostly TB.

Just what I was thinking. Bailey and Austin paired up on one side and Quick on the other. Three deep threats and two slot threats with three players. Of course, the Oline has to work for those deep threats. I think that's why Britt is left out at the moment. When the line gels, look out!

Bailey is a true route runner and possession receiver. Great in the slot. Tavon is more of a specialist/gadget/splash play guy. Pettis and Givens are an after thought.

I thought Bailey played more on the outside when he was so effective late last season? Why change that?

Pettis' greatest value is as a red zone target. Sadly, that wasn't an issue on Sunday.

I understand the belief that Bailey may have for a stretch last year looked like our best, but Quick is looking awful good and provides a dimension Bailey just doesn't have the physical attributes to accomplish.

IMO Tampa really keys on Quick this week,if he hadn't had that one reception negated by the face mask he'd have been around #3 in the league in yds. week 1, so Britt should get some targets,IMO he's earned them and if ya wanna keep his head in the game they better feed the beast a lil.

I think I've seen you mention this a couple times before, that reception was included in his yardage total, the penalty was enforced from the dead ball spot.
