Man to think of how long it's been and where I was in 2004 with our last playoff appearance... It's seriously an epic voyage of how much life (and myself) has changed! From being a 24 year old thinking I'm indestructible NCO bad ass to realizing your always a step away from knowing your own mortality, to gaining wisdom and grey hairs now! lol Technology, cars, houses, everything has changed obviously. Where were you? What was your mindset on our last playoff appearance? I always remember that image of Vick rushing in for that TD to finally crush us. And to give you some help getting those memories back:

I still haven't seen anyone post about revenge vs. our last playoff opponent yet. I really want to avenge that loss that IMO officially was the last death throw of the GSOT. I was crushed. And then came 13 years of total shit.

law of av·er·ag·es
noun
  1. the principle that supposes most future events are likely to balance any past deviation from a presumed average.

Time for the law to work in our favor with the last 13 years of shit...

Reading those Falcon fan comments makes me remember you don't realize how short you window can be and how fast that bastard will close on you. They will realize after this Saturday they weren't where they were in 2016.

I had just moved to Texas from CA. Was single no kids and blowing money living in an apartment early 30's.
Now married 2 kids and paying a mortgage. Oh the good ole days.

Man I hated Mora Jr.

And I couldn't stand Bulger to be honest.

First year of college. I remember watching the first half of the game in my dorm room, then joining a party in another dorm room and getting progressively drunker and angrier as the Falcons proceeded to kick the Rams' collective asses.

Woke up the next morning feeling better and saying to myself "well there's always next year." Ugh.

I was in Culver City with 4 kids, broke af and just trying to be a good stay at home dad and husband.

Really missed working in my field, but loved the day to day of at home parenting.

And I was too optimistic then to pay attention to the crap storm on the horizon.

Part of my Rams wilderness years :-(

Sharing a four bedroomed house with my brother. Three years away from being married and (I think) a year away from meeting my wife.

I was avidly following my soccer team (Hull City afc) who finished that season being promoted on their way to a miraculous journey to the English Premier League and a decade of relative success.

I follow three soccer teams (Hull City, Valencia and Fiorentina) as well as the Rams so there is usually one team in the ascendancy that takes the majority of my attention.

I was actually at that fucking game in Atlanta. I posted about it yesterday already... but I'll say it again.

That was a LONG MISERABLE walk out of that stadium after they ran the ball directly down our throats.

I'm really hoping that our performance this Saturday will finally heal most of the painful wounds inflicted on me from that God awful playoff game. That shit was painful and it's been lingering all this time.

I had moved back to Oregon after a 5 year stint in Texas, both Houston and El Paso. (My very hot wife is from the El Paso area).

Anyway, I was sketching for hours a day for over a year trying to get accepted into the Art Center College of Design Transportation Design program in Pasadena, CA. Inevitably, I never went because I just couldn’t afford to live there.

I did get accepted into the RISD Transportation Design program at University of Cincinnati, but dragging two kids and a wife to a place thousands of miles away without much money seemed like a bad idea at the time. I realize now that was likely a mistake.

The RAMS losing that game to the Falcons and PETA spokesman Mike Vick was just a primer for what was to come. Who knew?! Quite the drought. But hey! At least we have the Rams now to enjoy in the playoffs. GO RAMS!

Was finishing up college in my mid 20s (didn't go immediately after high school). Living in a shitty apartment with my fiancé, now wife. Hanging out on the official Rams forums debating Martz vs Vermeil... Warner vs. Bulger... still wondering why the fuck we didn't resign London Fletcher... he could have really helped in that game lol. Bleh, loooooong time ago my friends.

Transitioning into a new job after my company filed bankruptcy and let everyone go. Honestly was a pretty tough year for me and my family. We were weeks from moving to Oregon, where my wife is from, but a job came through so we stayed.

Remember this beat down, and was a tough game to watch. Even though that was 13 years ago, last year's game is the one I want some revenge from. They poured it on us. I knew we were doomed when we fumbled the opening kickoff.

I was about to turn 19. Had started community college and was about to realize I was completely done with all school.

2005 would see me lose my job as a cashier that I had since high school, quit college, and when my parents tried to set me straight, moved in with a friend who let me be a bum on his couch for 6 months. Was a long ways away from being grown up, and had no clue what I wanted out of life.

Now...married, wife is pregnant with our first, have a good job for someone with no degree, and in 2016 we bought our first house together.

In some ways that season is so memorable to me. Lost to the Patriots for the first time since the super bowl; lost to the Saints in OT after Bulger ran in a 20+ yard TD. Favorite game of all time: our epic 17 point comeback win against the Seahawks in Seattle. Shaun McDonald for the W.

Got blown out on Monday night at Lambeau. Were terrible against the AFC East all year - lost games to Miami and Buffalo when we probably had the better team.

Then, sitting at 6-8, the Eagles rest their starters and we get a win to move to 7-8. Then we play an epic game against the Jets and with a Vikings loss, we get into the playoffs.

I remember Jim Haslett saying that the Saints were left out even though they beat the Rams..

And the name Travis Fisher still gives me visions of wide open WRs..

Thats wierd. I posted the exact same thing yesterday. I was at the game and I had to face the crowd, and leave (sometime at the beginning of the 4th quarter) to a barrage of harrasment.

Yeah... it was brutal.

My parents and sister both live up there in Peachtree City. I took my sis to the game and she actually yelled at a drunk Atl fan who wouldn't shut up... she would have kicked his ass lol. The dude did stfu (lucky for him).
