offense has a hard time executing when on the bench through no fault of there own

Hurt the team in the first half no doubt....

But the lack of the offense to convert on 3rd downs killed us....TOP is an offensive stat....if your offense, when given a chance, doesn't possesses the ball, convert on 3rd downs...TOP will always be skewed towards the opponent and their offense.

Pharoh's brain freezes hurt....failure to execute by the offense, killed us.

Well in the 1st half the Falcons had 4 possessions to 1 in one stretch.... that kills TOP right there.... and not beibg on the field for long stretches tajes an offense out of its rythem and majes a young offense press a bit.

Not trying to make excuses, just stating facts. Now sure, they could have played better, but those turnovers were such a momentum builder for Atlanta tgat it just changed the complexion of the game.

That and the Brockers injury just opened the door for their 2nd half running game that put the D back on their heels.

They simply started controlling the ball and having a long, long drives in the middle of the 3rd quarter and totally dominated the 4th.

They simply whipped our butt.
We've got to do a much better job of stopping the run to be able to take that next step and actually WIN a playoff game.

16-10....3rd quarter....what did we do to effect TOP then? 3 total points the entire 2nd half....after adjustments...Lets go beyond the slow start...it's 2nd half...survived 2 turnovers...now what?

I believe they got their 2nd possession of the 2nd half with less than a minute to go in the 3rd quarter.
