It feels a little like the 2001 Super Bowl. It's not quite as bad... but it still sucks. I feel bad for the players... they had a great season going and it ended too quickly.

I wish they had won the game. And a run to the SB and winning it all..........well that would have been fantastic.

But the future looks good. So I'm not upset.

I'm not unhappy. I put this on McVay, but like I said he's not a dumbass and won't make this type of mistake in a big game again.

It became apparent to me early on that the team was out of sync. Goff was off target all day. Had Sammy deep and it was well under thrown. Passes behind receivers. Just too many tell tale signs that the ball wasn't bouncing our way today.
Actually, I began feeling doubt creep in when GZ went down. That alone would change our strategy in numerous situations where normally you'd just trot out Mr Money for 3 and like it. Z had several 3 plus field goal games during the season

I'm just amazed how the team played so well most all season and with great resilience. If we can stay healthy and make a few key off season moves, we're going to be right back in the hunt next year. This season far exceeded my wildest expectations. It sucks that it's over for the year, but it was a great ride !!!! And the best part ??? I've got 11 W's to watch again and again until next season. Last year I had 3. ( I know we won 4, but I couldn't stomach watching that crummy Jets win again.) :ROFLMAO: :yess::rockon:

positive notes : I was really happy to see that Goff can have an 80 yards drive in 2 minutes. Also Woods is the real deal, he made those hard catches you need in the playoffs all night long

Oddly enough I wasn’t super upset. Being a Rams fan so long as I have been, has taught me how to take a loss. I was happy I got to see us in the playoffs. I knew at the first muffed punt that our chances weren’t good. We’ve all seen how those type of games typically go.

Our team didn’t know how to react with actual fans finally in the stands! lol

Didn't get to post in vent thread, but I will here. I left one in the appreciation thread as well. Here goes:

Went to the game, got great seats at the 50, enthusiastic and pumped. Left 3 hours later despondent.

Just bitter that they played a game that didn't reflect at all what they were in 2017. Every game I was guarded about this year they outperformed my expectations. Hell, even the losses, battling Philly at home and the Vikings on the road. Even the early loss vs Seattle I knew they played a decent game and just gave it away.

Not Saturday, first time they really under performed. When they had early drive stalls with good FP and were fumbling/muffing kicks, I knew what was in store. I was encouraged at halftime, but the 8 minute FG drive out of the half by Atlanta was depressing. Rams never got any mojo back after that.

Thought it was their worst game all year. Left upset, didn't sleep well and still bitter. Gonna be tough to watch the playoffs from here on out.

BTW, I know they're young, but this was a great shot. Wide open NFC field, pretty good seeding, healthy. Not all those things will happen again.

THIS!

Thats why I'm so bitter. We had so many things set up in our favor for us to make a run and we didn't go out playing the way we did all year. Just gonna be a lot of "what if's" for me til September.

I also wonder "what if" we had actually gotten a bye seed. Hopefully we just learn from it all and take no game for granted next year.

Took me a while to truly react. Had to process.

At the end of the day, I'm a big believer in yards and yards per play telling a story.

We outplayed the Falcons in this game. Didn't really feel like it. And it did feel like the defense didn't play well - but they really did. I actually thought Goff played well after the slow start.

At the end of the day, two special teams turnovers cost us the game. Take those away and I believe we win.

Credit to the Falcons - they had a game plan and they executed perfectly - but that confirms that we were the better team IMO. Atlanta came in with a specific game plan and still needed two random fumbles to win the game. If we played them 10 times, we would win 7 IMO.
