There has never been a bigger kiss up, mancrushing, star Fer than Jim Nantz. His number one subject is Brady.
During the Raider/Pats game last week Mack came in low (not flagged and not illegal) on Brady, Nantz puckered right up and broke off his call of the play and said "Oh no, Brady was hit low"....or some such nonsense his voice raising about 4 octaves. I really believe if Brady got hurt in a game he was calling he would cry.
He is a phony and D bag.
Also, way back when on the Don and Mike Radio Show he was pompous.
F him.
Nantz is a Pats/Brady lover? Then I hate him too!!!

Jim Nantz, the lead announcer at CBS Sports, got married over the weekend to Courtney Richards, who is 20 years his junior. The nuptials took place on the 7th hole of the famed Pebble Beach golf course, and according to one report, Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft and New England QB Tom Brady attended.

Indeed. I like our offense in this game, even without Woods...but...

Can we hold the Saints under 40?

I hope so, but if Webster and NRC are out, I don't have confidence that we will.

Exactly.
Need to score at least 40 to win.
The issue is falling behind.
If you fall behind it changes how the D plays you which in turn changes the O play calling.
The Rams have to score and HAVE to run the ball....by "run" I mean with Gurley or using the RB, TE is those short pass plays that are an extension of the running game. Second and less that 7 will determine a lot in this game.
I think the Rams need a couple of 6 + minute drives for TDs to win.

I am hoping for s high scoring affair. The Saints D is not great. Both teams will have opportunities. Missing Woods could be a big blow.

This does not bode well for the Rams on Sunday.

Mark Ingram named NFC offensive player of the week

It’s amazing to think, now, that the Saints went out and signed Adrian Peterson this offseason.

Because they’re running it well now, with a draft pick and parts they had on hand.

Veteran back Mark Ingram was just named NFC offensive player of the week, after his share of the Saints comeback overtime win against Washington last week.

Ingram had 134 yards on just 11 carries, and added another 21 yards on three catches.

That marked the fourth 100-yard game in six for Ingram since the Saints pulled the plug on the Peterson experiment, and coupled with rookie Alvin Kamara, the Saints have won eight straight games behind their running game.

Panic Meter: What Impact Could One More Loss Have on These Contending NFL Teams’ Seasons?
By Conor Orr

Rams (7–3)
Next opponent:
Saints (11/26)
Panic level with loss: MEDIUM/HIGH

The Rams are in a difficult spot. Even after dazzling the NFL over the first half of the season, they will not receive the benefit of the doubt. Sean McVay is a brilliant offensive mind but not yet a proven commodity when the boat starts to rock. A second straight loss to a premiere opponent would make me a tad uneasy.

Have to understand he is establishing himself well beyond expectation thus far for a young rookie HC. Yeah jitters are normal in tough situations, and now we are in a position to be better than last season you bet that is setting in. Just need to stick to the original MO. One game at a time!

Concern over the secondary (Without Vaccaro and Lattimore)

Really hope Vaccaro and Lattimore are back soon
----------
Yawn,,,,,,,,,,,,, it's all good. Saints 38 Rams 14.
----------
The Rams? I just think we got this one. And if we do, it will be our last small breathing room.
-----------
Quite Frankly, we need KV and Marsh back for this game. AJ too. Its not so simple as sit guys for more important games, our division is breathing down out throats.

That being said I fully expect them all to be back. This team willed itself ad found a way last week against Skins, I was so proud of them and the makeup they showed, however, we CANNOT play another game in pass coverage against the Rams that we did against Skins. We need our guys back and cannot allow teams to gain a game on us at this point.

I think it would be hoo of us to get Bell even more involved as hes really starting to demonstrate his playmaking ability, that being said we need support. Defence is all about structure and leverage. The 2nd depth cant get it done consistently, sorry if that upsets you but it is the ugly truth.

Here is to hoping we get out boys back this week. I am confident we will! Once that happens then hey we just gotta go out there and do US! We play our game no one gonna pass on us and if that the case we can collapse on Gurley.
----------
I'm actually more worried about Todd Gurley this Sunday than I am about the Rams Wr's. I do hope Vaccaro and Lattimore can play, but we are also missing Klein as well.

Redskins Rb. Samaje Perine had his best day against us Sunday. He had 117 yds and a 5.1 YPC. Gurley is a much better Rb. If we want the ultimate prize we have to do a better job stopping the run.

Rams lose leading receiver ahead of Saints game
Robert Woods was a big signing for Los Angeles and has played up to his billing, but the Saints won’t see him.
by John Sigler

We’re at the point in the season where teams are tested by injuries. They spend months trying to find the right guys to fill out a roster - not just the big names in the starting lineup, but the players behind them on the depth chart.

For the New Orleans Saints, that means life without defensive end Alex Okafor, who’s played like a top-15 lineman on a bargain contract. We don’t know yet if it also means life without several talented additions in All-Pro-to-be cornerback Marshon Lattimore, ironman linebacker A.J. Klein, or playmaking defensive back Kenny Vaccaro.

We’ll know more about their status on Wednesday’s injury report, but Lattimore’s loss caused the defense to crash to earth against Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins more than any other. In Lattimore’s absence, passes to his side of the field yielded a passer rating nearly-double what the rookie has allowed all year.

But the Los Angeles Rams have been hit with a loss that’s just as big. Wide receiver Robert Woods signed a five-year, $34-million contract with the Rams back in March and has been the team’s best pass-catcher. He leads the resurgent Rams in catches (47) and yards (703) to form the spearhead in head coach Sean McVay’s vertical offense.

Only running back Todd Gurley has a better catch rate (73.1-percent) than Woods (67.1-percent), and Woods’ average yards-per-game (70.3) sets the pace for the rest of the team by a wide margin (next-best is slot receiver Cooper Kupp at 48.1).

That’s all come to a pause with Woods’ shoulder injury during a loss to the Minnesota Vikings. McVay downplayed the void Woods leaves behind, but admitted it will be difficult to get other receivers to keep up with Saints coach Asshole Face’s high-octane offense.

It will fall to less-dependable weapons like Tavon Austin (who played just two snaps against the Vikings last week) and Sammy Watkins (who hasn’t broken the 70-yards receiving mark since Week 3 against the San Francisco 49ers) to step up.

The Saints have faced the third-toughest strength of schedule of all winning teams this year but have been fortunate to catch opponents at the right times. Hopefully that continues during this week’s pivotal conference game carrying playoff implications.
-----------
I never like to see a player injured, but I won’t complain when the Saints benefit. The Saints DBs are suspect now due to their own injuries, and this helps level the field.
----------
Competent receivers are easier to find than competent CBs.
Thus, injured Lattimore hurts more than injured Woods.

Got to see that injury report.

Rams have their hands full. I don't know if they can stop the run for 4 quarters. It's hard not to see the Saints with a big advantage. Got stay ahead on points and give the defense a rest for a chance to win.

Gotta have the killer instinct. One guy had it right. Them losing Lattimore may hurt more than us and Woods. McVay needs to scheme to attack downfield early and often. I have confidence Thomas or Reynolds or Cooper will have a breakout game, and Kupp will be hungry to make big catches. These guys are all growing.

I’m also anxious to hear about Webster and NRC. Our DBs need to play opportunistic defense.

Rams will be toughest test for Saints defense since New England, but LA defense has a weakness

No need to get cute on offense. Continue to do what got you to 8-2. Smash mouth football on Sunday. Ingram & Kamara could do damage here.
-----------
I know our D is hurt. But, they got to show up on Sunday.
-----------
Just hope Payton doesn't get into that, "can't pass on 'em? I'll show everyone" mode...

If they suck at stopping the run, ram it (see what I did there) down there throats...
----------
I don't think he cares about diddly squat but to win the game any way we can.
----------
Plus he has a lot more qualified Coach's squawking in his ear this year.
When Joe Vitt was here, his only remedy was to get Coach more Juicy Fruit.
----------
Or Vicodin

I'm not falling for the ole "20 guys on the injury report, probable, did not practice, likely out on Sunday" trick.

California, Here We Come
by Wallace Delery

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

For the second year in a row, the New Orleans Saints face one of their oldest rivals in the Los Angeles Rams on Thanksgiving weekend. Now the Saints face the Rams one year later with much more on the line. At stake is a possible tiebreaker for a potential bye in the playoffs. Now although this is premature, as neither team has clinched anything at all, there remains the possibility that this game may loom large should these teams remain at their current trajectory.

The Saints are also trying to continue their now eight-game consecutive win streak. This remains vitally important as both Carolina and Atlanta remain within striking distance in the NFC South, with both teams up next for the Saints in order. It all starts here in Los Angeles against the Rams though. Not only will the Saints be at the LA Memorial Coliseum this Sunday, but so will yours truly, so the Saints need to win this game!

Saints(8-2) at Rams(7-3) - Game of the Week
Outside of two games, Week 12 looks terrible on paper, but this game is easily the best of the entire slate. Two teams fighting for division titles and playoff seeding. Two teams featuring two of the top offenses in the NFL squaring off. Two teams with a rich and contentious history facing off with so much at stake. There’s going to be an awful lot of fireworks in this game, that’s for certain.

Last season, nearly a year ago to the day, the Saints ethered the Rams in the Superdome, relentlessly embarrassing then-Rams Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams in the most personal way possible. Although that coaching staff is gone, the Rams players that played in the Dome that Sunday certainly won't forget that dumptrucking put forth against them one year ago. The Saints need to be prepared for a highly-motivated Rams team, and they will be, considering how important this game is for the Black and Gold as well.

This game will be infuriating for those who have relished the Saints turning the corner on defense this season, but it will ultimately be an exhilarating win for the Saints, who will undoubtedly be cheered on by thousands of loud and loyal Saints fans who proudly comprise the SoCal legion of Who Dat Nation. This will be one to remember. Saints win 35-31.

Pick: Saints
---------------
Unfortunately Vegas has Saints as the underdogs in this game...
There’s a very small part of me that believes Vegas owns professional sports in America and for those who don’t believe in that (if the Saints lose) will view it as a "trap game". However a large part of me believes Vegas may know something about Lattimore & Klein that we don’t and combined with the loss of Okafor….
-------------
Nah, they don’t own professional sports in America. They simply own the folks who bet on games. The same way the house owns every sucker that walks through the doors of any casino.
-------------
It is all about stopping the Rams running game

hopefully the rams overlooked the vikings because they couldn't wait to play the saints and give them some payback.

i hope mcvay left his good stuff for this game.
