While I'm looking forward to this scenario happening and agree our pass rush will be fun to watch like the Thursday night game against the Cards two years ago, I wonder what we've significantly improved to stop elite rushing attacks. Our recent history against the Niners, Vikings, and Cowboys still frustrates me. Greg Williams is creative and all, but stopping the run is purely discipline and physicality. I'm not saying we won't improve, just wondering how.
Added two DT's in Donald and Carrington..Plus our Stud in the making OLB Ogletree has another year under his belt so I expect improvement. Also expect improvement from TJ mcdonald and we added a huge presence at safety in the draft in Alexander.

Our D line is sure to be fresh, plus the addition of the big bodies in there. Williams aggressive play calling will also help. plus, we have two of the best DE'S in the league, they both are good vs the pass and the run.

I expect a huge improvement against the run this year.

We shut the 9ers down in the 2nd game on the road...at least thru 3 quarters...I forgot what happened in the 4th....

Imagine, if you will, that we've gotten out to a big lead. The opposing team is trying to come back.

That front 7 of ours? Imagine them KNOWING the other team has to pass and just teeing off. If the other QB starts just throwing it up there, our secondary is good enough to start taking it.

Imagine Stacy, Mason and that offensive line of ours grinding it out, run after run, after run while the opposing team watches that clock tick down relentlessly.

Imagine 4th and long's becoming huge decisions for that other team of whether to punt it to Tavon or sacrifice some field position and just send it out of bounds.

Imagine that feeling of hopelessness if you're the other team. Taste it. It's delicious.
I would like them to pull a 'Fearsome-Foursome' stunt and our D-Line just Stand there Staring at them, waiting, waiting for them to Line-up, never huddling ourselves, Very Intimidating!! Then BAM! Destruction Rains down on them!!:sneaky:

You answered your own question.

This team was already physical.. Added Donald, Carrington, Joyner & Alexander.

Young players get experience & learn responsibilities... As the Mc's both did last season.

D will be really good.

My ultimate fantasy for the season is a win in Seattle to make the playoffs AND knock them out.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Can you hand me a tissue please?

hopefully Rams will have a play off spot locked up by then, and the 2nd stringers will take care of the business of kicking Seattle out of contention
