I suspect that Fisher is going to do what he did with McNair, to a degree anyway. He'll see spot duty here and there in safe situations.

The difference between Fisher and Pederson are becoming more apparent. Pederson now says he anticipated Wentz having problems with the playbook verbiage so they simplified it. Would Fisher be smart enough to do that? Hell no!

If Keenum was "seeing ghosts" (his words) last week, what do you think it will be like against the Albatross D...Not too encouraging for me...

Here is one of Boras' shorter plays:

Pass Bubble Trips left motion, 73 Reno halfback fake punch, Slurpie 7-11 slot 10 cross hair, West Rip righty tighty, Fake slap bitchy, Z spot blue Elephant tight trunk, F left, Orange sticky wiggle, T spot orchard Green grapes, lefty lucy, Avengers Xman shift to viper right, 382 lookie dookie curl right tuck split, Zip up the gopher ON TWO!....

Which really only means Gurley play action Tavon 3 yard hitch & the Slot receiver goes in motion ;)

Even on hard knocks he didnt know the play

Yea, Hard Knocks found one example of it (which isn't very meaningful). If it was such a problem, how was he able to get plays called in the preseason?

I think it's dangerous to try to make things easy to do or learn by dumbing it down in any situation/job/whatever.

Language and words have pretty accurate and precise meaning when calling a play and there is A LOT going on in a hurry. So over-simplifying helps in the short term, but not in the long term.

Real American spoken English versus Ebonics. Look at it that way.

All this talk about Goff not being able to understand the playbook is pure bollocks, he's a clever dude, a competent QB, with a good ceiling - much better than Kennum's. this all comes down to Fisher an the Rams organisation being ABSOLUTELY PANTS at developing and supporting QBs.

If he's so crap at learning the play book, why give up so much to draft him. We need more than just a QB.

Disagree in this instance and we have several recent examples of coaches doing this with rookie QBs, Fisher is just too stubborn and Boras too inexperienced to do it.

Many of the rookie QB's that started right out of the gate in the last few years have not fared well.

Not all of them, but enough of them that I have no problem with Goff being brought along slowly.

It's not a big deal, IMO fans are making way more out of this than they should be.

IMO this is another in a long list of things that shows we'd be better off with somebody else. He doesn't adapt or make changes. We see it in game plans and we see it when the second half starts.

I don't see a connection between not starting a rookie QB week one, which isn't uncommon at all, and him not adapting and making changes.
