I would add that the defensive and special teams players brought in have progressed and been developed. Can't say the same for the offensive side of the ball. It's pretty clear to me where the problem is.
I agree with the talent progressing in those areas, I'm not sure if the problem is coaching on the offensive side, or they don't know how to identify offensive talent.

The receiving corps is bad. The offensive line is bad. Most were drafted by the current regime. Quick over Jeffrey. Austin over Hopkins. Robinson over Matthews. Every team misses in the draft, but when it comes to offensive talent the Rams have missed a ton. 12 top 100 picks of the Fisher/Snead regime on the offensive side of the ball. 4 top 10 selections. I'm not seeing the talent on offense. Yes the scheme is bad, but the talent isn't great either.
Yeah you can't grade a draft like that. It's myopic. If you're dead set on believing that Snead and his entire crew can only identify and draft defensive talent then i don't know what to tell you. It simply doesn't work that way.

Tell me where all the talent is on offense in Arizona or Seattle, for example.

I say we resign Janoris Jenkins....nope cant do that, Fisher decided to another direction.

I say we get some vet leadership in here for our offensive line....nope cant do that, Fisher went with youth.

I say we go out and spend 40m on a legit #1 WR so we can...nope nevermind, Fisher went with Tavon Austin.

Like it or not....THIS IS JEFFS TEAM THAT JEFF BUILT. ONLY OPTION IS TO DO IT JEFFS WAY. The feeling of doom is just incredible

GO OUT AND GET AN OC with ability and imagination...and LEAVE THE OFFENSE TO HIM!!!

Fisher has to realize the era of "ball control" offensive approach is over! There comes a time when you have to embrace change...and Fisher needs to realize offense is NOT his forte...and get someone that knows how to adapt an offense to your opponent...WE KNOW THE RAMS ARE WOEFUL AT IT!!!

You're putting all the blame on coaching. I put blame on both. It's not like offensive players are leaving the Rams and are solid contributors. I don't think they've don't a good job of coaching or picking talent.

Fair enough, Fro. I disagree because i've seen enough evidence that suggests otherwise.

Isaiah Pead
Chris Givens
Daryl Richardson
Zac Stacy

All played for the Rams. Givens, Richardson, and Stacy all were productive as rookies. They moved on and have done nothing in the league on other teams.

OL is were I start and focus.

What says you?

I say AMEN to that Rams Brother enough is enough this is the worst unit by far for more than a decade. Anyone who knows anything about football knows you have to build from the lines out and the Rams Oline coaching and performance just isn't good enough. Every draft pick the majority of FA and new leadership along that unit should be the focus.

Goff is running for his life every play, it's amazing Keenum lasted as long as he did without injury, it looks like Gurley is closing his eyes because he knows he is going to be hit as soon as he touches the ball.

The mantra of many here for years

FIX THE OLINE!!!!!!

Why does Fisher need to do anything? He's making millions, and laughing his ass off all the way to the bank. "I got paid for that? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH"

Not denying the misses here.
Dude, go look at any other of the 31 NFL teams draft history over the last 5 years and you'll find the same track record...or worse. I've looked at it. Posted it somewhere.
Perspective.

I see an AZ team with one great WR, 1 good young RB, a couple talented OLinemen and a quality veteran QB.
Nothing exceptional anywhere else there yet they're an offensive success. Why?

In Seattle they've got a great QB, 1 good WR and a very good TE. Nothing else really to speak about. Why are they scoring points?

Because they have the offensive ability to be creative...and a STOUT defense. The Rams defense is better...but the Rams don't have a clue offensively when it comes to HOW to expose the other team's defensive weaknesses.

Yes coaching is huge. I readily acknowledge that. The talent level still isn't on the level of AZ or Seattle. Britt has had a nice year. Outside of that we have very little at WR or TE. The offensive line is horrible. RB and QB are fine for the foreseeable future. I don't think coaching change alone vaults this offense to top 20 status.

I agree. I don't see an offense who is very well prepared for adversity beyond the opening scripted plays.

When a team has a franchise quarterback, it wins. When a team doesn’t, it loses, and the search to find one consumes the entire organization for years."Rookie"Jared Goff (future)looks good. There is hope.Rams fans, keep your chins up.
