Every once in awhile you should visit your own crystal ball and foretell the future season and how something may play out. Here is mine.

Amidst all the draft and trade rumors the Rams keep Sam Bradford but draft a qb as insurance. Bradford goes down (again) in week 4 (after the bye) game. Hill comes in but goes down after 2 games or is terribly inconsistent and so the Rams give the rookie a shot. The rookie QB fires everyone up with his ability to move in the pocket and avoid the rush and extend plays (something which Bradford had not been able to do). Rams do well the rest of the season but miss the playoffs.

Rams do not extend Bradford and let him walk after the season and the future looks bright with the new QB who will takeover the team full time in 2015.

Depends on when they get that 3rd stringer. If he can't beat out Hill in camp, then your scenario won't materialize.
You remember Keith Null, right?
Thaddeus Lewis?
Austin Davis?

Now if they draft Bridgewater...
Then, okay.
