Could be. I got the impression last year that Joyner had to cover for Peters' spur of the moment decisions to jump a route, leaving Joyner to recognize it and cover Peters' assignment, often times too late or having no real chance to do so.
Fair enough -that probably happened, and I liked LJ.
My thought was they're called (free) safties for a reason, as in, in nickel/dime packages, corners on WRs, nickel/dime guys on TE/HB/slotWR, leaving the free safety to "roam".
That said, there is probably a very good reason why I do what I do, as opposed to coaching defenses.:rolllaugh:
