For one, thinking what we say, or don't say about how the Rams will perform, doesn't affect their play on the field, whatsoever...Having said that...

Trap games...Does this mean a let down game where we don't take another team as seriously as we should..yeah, I believe that can happen..Although, i think it was more an emotional letdown after the Hawks game than taking them (Skins)lightly..no matter..What's different? If I remember correctly, we were counting on Nick Foles to do these wonderful things to win games..Game calling by Frank Cignetti , we hoped, would far surpass Shotty's leadership in previous years..and it has (IMO). But we are a marginal team on the offensive side of the ball. Tre Mason is ok and so is Benny Cunningham....Tavon Austin is dangerous in only certain circumstances..Our Oline is young and is taken advantage of by good Dlines in passing situations. It's possible for Nick Foles to make plays with the proper protection..He can't be slammed all game along and expect good things to happen..especially when sorry TE's like Jared Cook keep dropping balls

So what's DIFFERENT?

You know it's Todd Gurley. We have NEVER had a game changing rookie like him since Torry Holt, and Torry was just an addition to GSOT that probably would have done fantastic things without him. I have been a fan for decades, and I think that I have never seen a rookie step in like Gurley, and own two great Defenses during Crunch time (4 qtr) in his very first two games as a starter.

We certainly didn't have Gurley vs the sorry Redskins...and if Gurley had performed in Pittsburgh as he did a week later, we would have won that game...Gurley is a Trap Game killer..You guys that keep bringing up this worry, are saying that Gurley will suck against bad teams? C'mon, break out of the Same Ole Sorry Ass Rams Funk..I refuse it.

Good teams don't have trap games because good teams fear losing every week.

We get to this point, the games we lose are because we were outplayed. Not because we didn't prepare ourselves mentally.

After what Cleveland did to the Broncos, extending them into OT, the Rams won't be taking the Browns lightly.

So if Gurley gains 150 yards vs the Skins, do we lose?

After thier recent track record they better not look past anyone . Time for them to actually win 2 games in a row .

I don't think any team "looks past" any other team. I mean they literally are slamming into crazy athletes for 17 weeks.

Its just some cute phrase local media uses to explain losses or somehow warn fans that a game isn't a gimme. I doubt actual players and coaches care about all that stuff.

Browns look respectable enough to not warrant the trap game label. Regardless, I wouldn't want to sleep on any team even if we earned the right doing so.

theres no such thing as a "trap game" for the Rams. a trap game is simply when GOOD teams, WINNING teams get a little cocky or lazy and sleep on an opponent because they expect to be so much better than their opponent. none of that applies to the Rams thats just called being inconsistent, immature etc etc.

Rams were "noticeably better" than the Browns in only 40% of their games this year. I wont be surprised one bit if the Browns beat the Rams by 10 or more

Don't even think this can be considered a trap game, we both only have two wins. Browns have played every game close except week 1 going up against some tough opponents.

I don't think we'd dare take the Browns lightly after what happened against the Skins.

Every Browns game is a trap game. Who takes the Browns seriously? Not even the Browns.

The Browns are better than some are giving them credit. Hopefully the Rams think they are playing Seattle or Arizona Sunday so they will come out with energy. I expect a few new wrinkles in the Rams offensive personnel.

Agree Fro. I think they're a better team than they have been in a while. McCown has eliminated those horrible mistakes he made in Tampa and looks more like the Bears version, they've got a good o-line to run it behind, even if they have lost some pieces. We have to come out and start fast, be really energized and not lethargic coming off the bye-week. I'd love to see us go into one of these games with the same fire we bring to a divisional clash.

But I'll take you up on that bet anyway
