Dude looks like a veteran. This rookie QB might be better then people think.

I had him as my top QB prospect.

Trubisky
Watson
Mahommes
Kizer

And when he was drafted first overall, and everyone was trashing the bears, I felt like I was the dumbass, cuz I liked him too. Glad to see he's off to a good start.

I think Myles Garrett might have trashed the Bears for that too. ;)

Shakier Ryan is making things really interesting... I said it before camp that if he's as explosive as he was in college as a return man..it's going to be hard to keep him off of the roster...

Yup. Maybe people should look at WHY a team drafted him instead of being the critical police about "giving up too much" and other draft bullshit.

JackDRams,

Where do you have Trubisky in comparison to Goff and Wentz? Do you think the Rams should have waited on getting a QB until this years draft?
This is an interesting scenario that I've been mulling around in my head a bit. If we could have waited and gotten roughly equivalent value we sure could have saved a bunch of picks.....

In terms of prospect comparison, I liked Goff more then this years class, and slightly more then Wentz. I'd put both Wentz and Goff above this years class.

It's hard to say if we should have waited, as I really like Goff. But say we stay put at 16, and draft on, if we get Prescott later on, maybe we don't need QB this year. Or maybe he's a product of the system in Dallas.

Let's play along and assume that's how it goes. Maybe we grab Taylor Decker in the first, Michael Thomas in the second. Prescott in the third. Suddenly, our offense is looking good. Granted, about 0.1% of the population expected Prescott to be so damn good. Hence his draft fall.

I'm happy with Goff. Glad Trubisky looked good against some third stringers. Hopefully Goff can prove everyone wrong, that judged him prematurely.

Jack, that scenario seems a bit far-fetched. You're basically assuming we draft the exact right player at each of those slots. I think you could put the Rams in a good position if you went back to any recent draft and gave us the best possible pick at each our picks in the first three rounds.

Frankly, if we lucked into Prescott (and he was that good for us), odds are that we'd screw up at least one of our first two picks.

But we definitely agree that Goff is about to shut a lot of people up. (y)

Hahah that's exactly what I did. I'd say Decker may have been reasonable considering the tackle talent in that neighbourhood. He was basically it. I'm guessing in the second, we take a project player. That's usually how we roll.
