@ProFootballTalk: TMZ says NFL never bothered to ask casino for video, which the casino would have happily provided http://t.co/hmjWbL4pyR

I think the end if king Roger is fast approaching...

Let's hope so. He sure seems a little willy nilly when it comes to dishing out punishment. Too much power with the NFLPA being so weak. Of course the owners are too busy counting their money to even care.

RG doesn't come across like he has anything but his own best interest in consideration. There has been what some would say is a not so subtle changing in marketing policies and rules that is being noticed and unpopular with the long time fan. This along with his mismanagement of player disciplinary decisions has him a little bit in the crosshairs.

I don't know accurate this is, but on the radio this morning they were saying that only the Vikings had the legal authority to demand the video and not the NFL. I'm not trying to deffend Goddell or saying it's fact just putting it out there.

The Vikings? That seems random - did they say why them? The casino is in jersey.

Who has the propriatary right to the footage from these type of cameras?
Nobody seems to refute that the tapes were available from the casino upon asking which makes
1) The NFL and Baltimore look stupid
2) one wonder what footage the public is privy too and at what point is it over the top?

Bottom line is that this tape isnt anything new, its a mulligan for the NFL and Baltimore to do what they should have done months ago.
And they arent getting away with it

I wrote weeks ago that there was a report Goodell and other NFL officials had seen this tape. It had been reported by a number of beat writers. This was not secret, Goodell tried to cover this up and hoped the tape never got released. Shame on Goodell and it may cost him his job. Cant believe I am going to say this but good for TMZ in throwing the NFL under the bus, they deserve it.

GODell reminds his minions this morning of the importance of collecting all video evidence... and then burning them all.

TMZ, maligned and absurd, but does more effective investigative journalism than actual journalism outlets. Good on them. Bad on King Goodel.

This whole denial bit is a complete joke. I saw the video in question the DAY AFTER it happened! So where were the rest of these bozo's? How can it be stated that no-one had seen the tape when it came out the very next day? Of course it was either deleted or pulled a day or so later, but it was on the net for all to see. Then there's double jeopardy, but that's another subject. Point being, it was already out there....the whole things a FUBAR.

Even before the elevator video came out, Goodell's actions were inexcusable. Video of Rice and wife getting on the elevator and shortly thereafter, him dragging her out, unconcious. The fact that he cold-cocked her in the elevator was not in dispute either. Still, he chose to give Rice a slap on the wrist, punishing him so lightly while bringing down harder punishments on guys who smoke weed. Goodell is a POS and has to go.

Now all we need to do is figure out how to throw TMZ under an actual bus.

I think his time has come...time for some fresh leadership in the NFL.

...funny, I've been thinking the same thing about St.Louis and the state of Missouri as well.

He should be DONE. Complete cover up here AND after the Spygate cover up?? burning the tapes and closing the investigation after 4 days and blacklisting any reporter who dared bring it up. sickening, Goodell is a crooked politician period I've always known this.

Man what I wouldn't give for there to be a discovery of duplicates of the tapes Goodell destroyed.

Honestly, I don't know why someone didn't think of suing the NFL for obstruction of justice based on destroying evidence. I find it hard to believe what he did was legal considering that it could be used in evidence in a court case.
