Haha, I actually had hookers typed in but didn't think the mods would allow what may be seen as promoting prostitution.

It would have been perfectly acceptable... and it would have driven your point home much better too. LOL

None of this is justifiable and I stick to my guns if your under the influence and operating a motor vehicle 8 games is a gift. I agree and was appalled with the other suspensions lengths as well. But to sit here and watch y'all justify a lesser punishment because others didn't get it is ridiculous. I for 1 am tired of actors/athletes getting special treatment because of their so called talents.
Special treatment because of his "tax bracket". The type of legal counsel you can afford is more likely to determine the extent of the punishment. Actors and Athletes will have the best legal representation their $$$ can buy. Hence, the outcomes of their cases reflect that. Not race...this is a class issue. It's the same as health care, education....and many other facets of life where the more $$$ you have, can influence the reactions/respect of others.

Have you seen the booty thread?

Not sure anyone is trying to justify a lesser punishment. I know I'm not. I think it is more a case that it just seems out of whack in comparison to others. It simply makes me curious if there are additional factors.

I would definitely re-sign him now for cheap. Would be a good special teamer and decent back up for the 2nd half of the year.

Hookers for everyone, then!! Now to find some interesting hookers GIFs. Haha

Just make sure that the site is 21 or older to be safe. I'd hate to see ROD get shut down by child porn.

Kind of apples to oranges though. Little should have been suspended, and yes his punishment was weak. But since then a lot has changed and penalties have gotten more severe, and justified IMO.
And no, you cant do any of the things you suggest....

Little should've been banned from the league. He got to make millions, uninterrupted, while a family mourned the loss of their daughter, sister and mother.

Ray Rice was suspended two games for knocking his GF out cold... oh, wait! He filed an appeal and won. His sentence is enforced by teams simply not wanting to sign him.

There's also that Greg Hardy fella. The chick settled out of court, so no harm, no foul in the NFL's eyes.

Players are consistently handed harsher punishments for testing positive for marijuana or PEDs than domestic violence and other serious crimes not related to football. Just Google "NFL player manslaughter", "NFL player domestic violence", etc.

Adrian Peterson got six games for child abuse. Tom Brady got four games for deflating footballs. What?

Hell, Josh Gordon got the same suspension as dog killer Vick for crying out loud.

So when I say it's kind of surprising TJ gets 8 games for his first DUI (I don't even think it was alcohol related), it's the truth, and backed by the leagues record when it comes to handling player suspensions.

And lastly, why the hell can't fruit be compared?

Source: Dolphins to sign safety T.J. McDonald despite eight-game suspension

    James WalkerESPN Staff Writer

The Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with free-agent safety T.J. McDonald on Friday despite a recent eight-game suspension, a source told ESPN.

Terms of the contract were not immediately available.

McDonald learned of his suspension earlier this week during his free-agent visit with the Dolphins. The NFL found that McDonald violated its substance abuse policy after an incident in May in which he was suspected of driving under the influence of prescription drugs. McDonald pleaded no contest to a lesser charge in January.

McDonald, 26, played in all 16 games for the Los Angeles Rams last season and recorded 64 tackles, two interceptions and one sack. The Rams figured that punishment from the NFL would eventually come down on McDonald but were going to move on from him anyway.

Reshad Jones, who recently signed a $60 million extension. Former starter Isa Abdul-Quddus suffered a late-season neck injury and retired. The Dolphins also signed free agent Nate Allen, who is expected to begin the 2017 season in the starting lineup.

An aggressive, ball-hawking strong safety, McDonald started 43 of 48 games for the Rams over the past three seasons, compiling three interceptions, 14 pass deflections, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble, four sacks and 171 total tackles.

McDonald was selected by the Rams in the third round of the 2013 draft out of USC.

ESPN's Alden Gonzalez contributed to this report.

Do these guys watch the games?

I expected TJ to get picked up...Good for him...He'll be missed...At least he gets a shot at hitting Brady again.

Hmmm, interesting... also interesting is his close relationship with former teammate Tru Johnson. I follow(ed) both of them on social media and they both were always training together and going out in the scene together. Maybe those loose rumors of Tru to Miami will now grow legs with his buddy heading to the Dolphins?

lol I know it's a LONG shot, but with McVay's close relationship to Gase to also consider, ya never know!

I'll take your second Mr. Gase, please and thank you!!!

His presence was always known on the field but he also never separated himself as someone indispensable.

Janoris Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, TJ McDonald, Trumaine Johnson.

To think Tru is the only one left, and could be traded... oh boy.

Dolphins sign T.J. McDonald

Safety T.J. McDonald won’t be eligible to play in the first half of the 2017 season, but that hasn’t stopped him from landing a job for the second half of the year.

The Dolphins announced that they have signed McDonald after a recent visit. McDonald was ranked at No. 67 on PFT’s list of the top free agents.

McDonald will serve an eight-game suspension as a result of last year’s arrest for crashing into a parked car. McDonald ultimately pleaded guilty to a charge of reckless driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and will be able to work with the team during the offseason, training camp and preseason before serving his ban.

McDonald was a starter in all four of his seasons with the Rams. He had 64 tackles, two interceptions and a sack in 16 starts last season.

The Dolphins extended Reshad Jones‘ contract earlier this offseason, but a neck injury led them to part ways with 2016 starter Isa Abdul-Quddus. They also signed former Raider Nate Allen, who will be an option to join Jones in the secondary until McDonald is ready to go.
