I'm sick of seeing hair sticking out the back of helmets!

Watching the Carolina punt returner muff that punt yesterday made me think; that sure was a dumb play... And Brenton Berson looked like a little girl out there.

(Not that there is anything wrong with girls/women. I love them. ... Or long hair)

But what's the deal with all the long hair in the NFL? It used to be cool when Mark Gastineau did it. I think it was Edgerrin James that brought the look back.

Now it's like parachute pants and penny loafers.

Are the players trying to display individuality because I see just the opposite. Everyone looks goofy together.

Some guys can pull the look off; Larry Fitzgerald, SJ, etc.

But some guys just look silly. Yeah I'm talking about you Brenton Bersin or Bersin Brenton whatever the hell it is.

I thought Bersin looked like a bitch when I saw him returning punts yesterday too. Some guys just can't pull off the long hair. Some guys can't field a punt very well either.

I always thought white guys looked ridiculous with long hair. Clay Matthews is another good example. You just look dumb. I remember Dane Looker had long hair for a while and wished that he cut it. Dreads are different because its an actual hair style.

Anyway, if people really do want that to go away, I remember it being ruled back in the Steven Jackson days that hair our of the helmet was okay, but that it couldn't be a penalty if they got the hair pulled while tackled. A few "hair tackles" would make it go away at least for the offensive players...

Surprisingly I never had an issue with hair or it's length and keep in mind I've never had long hair, but it does look good on some just like some can pull off the total bald look.

IMO as long as you keep it looking good and don't don a hat all the time especially inside. Look good, feel good, be good!

I think every man, regardless of color looks ridiculous with long hair. The only reason to have dreads is if you are Rasta, I think only Josh Gordon, or Ricky Williams could even argue their case.

Eh, I don't care either way. I know the dreads fad started in the early 2000s , then the cornrows started to fade away. I will take dreads over cornrows any day. Maybe the women like the long luxurious locks. If they do, why would the players care about what a bunch of dudes think anyway?

Not my favorite either. The hope is that this is a fad and will go away soon. The NFL clearly doesn't like it either as they have allowed hair pulling as a method of tackling. I think the league will try and figure out a way to stop players from flowing out of their helmets.
