Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff is drafting in the top 10 for the first time since trading up to select Julio Jones at No. 6 overall in 2011.
Dimitroff acknowledged that it's easier to trade within the top half-dozen picks under the current collective bargaining agreement, and this year's draft is especially strong in the top 10 players.

With needs on both offensive and defensive lines, the Falcons are a potential landing spot for South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, Auburn tackle Greg Robinson and Texas A&M tackle Jake Matthews.

Here's what else we learned from Dimitroff on Friday:
» Asked by Around The League if he expected to work out contract extensions with Julio Jones and Roddy White before the 2014 season, Dimitroff said he will concentrate first on the draft and free agency. Gregg Rosenthal recently floated the idea of the Falcons surprisingly cutting White if he doesn't agree to a restructured deal.
» Dimitroff offered a terse "No" when asked if he will attempt to talk Tony Gonzalez out of retirement.
