Mike Sando, a senior writer for ESPN, spoke to a panel of four NFL coaches and evaluators and asked them to rank the 12 playoff teams — and the NFC West champion Rams came in at No. 7 on the list, just below their wild card weekend opponents.

1. New England Patriots (13-3)
2. Pittsburgh Steelers (13-3)
3. New Orleans Saints (11-5)
4. Minnesota Vikings (13-3)
5. Carolina Panthers (11-5)
T-5. Atlanta Falcons (10-6)
7. Los Angeles Rams (11-5)
8. Kansas City Chiefs (10-6)
9. Philadelphia Eagles (13-3)
10. Jacksonville Jaguars (10-6)
11. Tennessee Titans (9-7)
12. Buffalo Bills (9-7)

While they are seventh out of 12, this list technically ranks them fifth among the six NFC teams, above only the Carson Wentz-less Eagles. Even for a team that has no playoff experience, that seems a little bit harsh.

Wow. Lol. I guess the Rams don’t have much of a chance according to this panel of knuckleheads.

Meaningless. Now it’s time to start knocking these bitches off one at a time and play King of the Mountain. Their opinions are like those in 99 thinking we were a fluke. I remember they stfu by the time the SB came around.

I believe the top seven teams on that list can beat any of the other top seven teams.

I think the Wentz injury kills the Eagles otherwise they'd be there too.

The other teams are a few steps below and have little or no chance.

The only team in the bottom half I think can pull up some upsets are the Chiefs.

I think it was ESPN last night...

All they kept talking about was Atlanta, Atlanta, Atlanta.

Got to believe our team has noticed, as well. :sneaky:

Sandy had the Rams with 3 wins for this season. He was a former Rams beat writer on NFL Nation for ESPN as a predecessor to Gonzalez and Wagoner. Sounds like he has a grudge against our team for making ESPN cover them during the early Fisher days.

He has always been a Hawk fan and lived in Seattle....He can't be happy that his team got gut stomped at CLink

Just shows how stacked the NFC is this year. Atlanta, the Rams, Carolina could all win the NFC and nobody would blink an eye. Its anyone game as all are very good, no Buffalo's in the NFC this year.

True. Atlanta may be peaking at just the right time, but I like our team, and think we have a great shot, too.

One game at a time. I think the whole "playoff experience" thing gets too much play. It's football. Our guys have already proven they can play well under pressure. This is just another opportunity to prove something.

I like our chances too! Playoff experience is overrated in my opinion. The Kansas City Chiefs have a ton of playoff experience, how many SBs have they been to? It means a little but I dont think it tips the scales too much. Also sometimes its good to have no experience as some times you play looser, but it depends on your players mostly.

5. Los Angeles Rams (11-5)
BROWNE 4th
MCCLYMONT 4th
SANDERSON 6th
SRINIVASAN 5th
Previous Rank: 2nd

The Rams are one of the youngest teams in the league with a 31-year-old head coach. L.A. has looked dominant, but will its collective inexperience be its downfall? - Browne

Wade is such a rookie in the coaching department ...lacks any experience.....

Rams coaches

Wade has been coaching in the NFL since 1976 was on the SB 50 Champions & 2 AFC championship teams.
Skip Peete has been in the NFL since 1998.
Joe Barry has been in the NFL since 2000.
Aaron Kromer has been in the NFL since 2001 & was on the SB Champions XLIV.
Bill Johnson has been a NFL coach since 2001 with one SB victory.
Greg Olsen has been in the NFL as a coach since 2001.
John Fasell has been a coach in the NFL since 2005.

Yep Rams coaching is sooo inexperienced & will be its downfall.;)
