The fact that Johnson, Brockers and Austin didn't make the Pro Bowl team is laughable.

Being #1 in passer rating allowed(49.3), 2nd in Interceptions and having given up only one touchdown isn't good enough for even top 3 status? I mean, I know stats don't prove everything. But they do prove SOMETHING. And this year Johnson was the best at what he is getting paid to do. Picks, frustrating the QB and shutting down opposing WRs.
Its easy when u not covering the #1 receiver. Tru is good but he's not even best cb on our team. Like I've said before. If we go into season and Tru has to cover #1 receivers all the time we will be in trouble

Haven't watched the Pro Bowl in over 20 years.
And now, with the new format...it means even less than it did before...when it meant nothing also!
GO RAMS!!!!!

I was listening to Fran Tarkenton on the radio yesterday and he thinks the NFL will just pull the plug on the Pro Bowl entirely soon. I thought there was a time when the Pro Bowl meant something and players were proud to show up, but even he said he'd been voted into 10 and only played in 4. What happened to the skills aspect? Didn't they used to have a QB showdown where guys threw balls at targets? I thought for a couple years they had guys catch balls from the Juggs machine to see who had the best hands. Why not the oft rumored "fastest man" race? Didn't CJ2K always want to have foot races against everyone? Why not just do that in Hawaii?

I think the new format makes it even less interesting than before. At least with the NFC vs. AFC aspect, fans could pretend like one conference was superior. Now with this stupid draft format, I have no interest in who is on what side, and there are even Rams playing!

Stated this before about Johnson...4 of his INTs came in the last 4 weeks. Balloting ended 12/15 sooooo...... might be different if voting occurred now. This is like a hitter going on tear before the all star break , but after voting/selection has ended.

Brockers really??? Love the guy and he does his job extremely well but who are you taking out of the probowl for him? Unfortunately he plays a role that doesn't give big stats or much glory.

With Austin what did you think he should be selected for? Remember it is by position....so he isn't going in as a WR or a RB, his best shot would be as a punt returner...but his stats there this year were middle of the pack (while I agree he is way better than Hester at this point, there are many this year that were above him). He has turned into a great hybrid player, but the trouble is as a hybrid it is difficult to get recognition in single specific categories. For instance it will be interesting what the Rams do about his 5th year option, will they want to give him top 10 WR money?
