Revisiting the 49ers at Rams NFC Championship Game

I realize many of us are in the turn the page process and focusing on the Rams 2022 offseason Super Bowl Title Defense.

For myself, I'm almost there, but not yet.

The win over the Cardinals in the Wildcard round was domination and the miracle win at Tampa Bay was a story book ending.

For those that haven't seen the NFC Championship Game without any commercials, it's available to watch below on YouTube.

Even though the black box says video unavailable.

Point your mouse over the Watch on YouTube area and click with your left mouse button.

It will take you to the full version of the 2022 NFC Championship Game vs the 49ers without any commercials.

Thanks for this! I agree, it's a long offseason, plenty of time to turn the page. Maybe when the new league year starts. Until then I'm going to continue to revel in this season, especially the NFC Championship and the Super Bowl wins!

It's going to take a looooooooooooooong time for this to get old. A very long time.

The Rams have won 5 NFC championships, but in terms of the sweetest win of those 5, this one shot to #1 with a bullet.

The 1999 team was pure magic... an incredible experience.

But this year was a more satisfying experience for me. Beating Brady and then beating the 9ers to get into the Super Bowl.. in LA??????????

Just an incredible ride. Beating the 9ers to get to the Super Bowl cannot be overrated... it is just MASSIVE.

Watching the entire 1999 Rams season is right up there with the greatest experiences of my life. All the storylines. That cinderella team was the glory team of the regular season. But, they were under the gun to prove their worth when the playoffs arrived. The nfccg and superbowl that year were brutal fights right to the very end. And the Rams won their FIRST super bowl.

But, sitting here in the moment, I am really having a tough time putting this 2021 team behind the 1999 team. This 2021 team has also been magical. Ultimately, I probably gotta go 1999 as my favorite season and Rams team, but even as I'm typing this sentence, I'm hating myself for not choosing 2021 as my favorite.

Anyway, who doesn't love the Rams!!!

Man this game was in so many ways more emotionally taxing than the Super Bowl itself. Freaking cried at that pick. Never happened to me before watching a football game. Damn.

Damn man, I went to the game. My first at SOFI. I started crying at the end right there in front of everyone. I felt embarrassed and tried to hold it in, but nope. :bigcry:

I was at the game and I had tears of joy! Lots of people around me did. It was like that 6-42 stretch and all the other frustrating dark age seasons, suddenly were redeemed in that one final moment. Then for Stafford and his rag tag army to go and win the SB? Weddle off the couch? Blanton stepping up out of nowhere, A'shawn Robinson another mind blowing surprise! Kupps greatest season. When NFL Films condense this season down to 60 minutes, the 2021 World Champion Los Angeles Rams, it really will be something special.

I still can't stop watching footage of this season. It just keeps getting better for me. It ranks above 99 for me because I was able to share this one with my son. He was only 3 in 99.

The bittersweet of it is that I lost my best friend, who was as big of a Rams fan as anyone, in December. I have no doubt that he had a hand in all of this btw. They have yet to lose a game since he took his seat in Heaven.

I was excited with that final pick to end the game. But I did tone it down a bit as there was a couple 49er fans with us who were bummed. After they left I let out a loud WE DID IT!!

The same 49er fans were with us for the Superbowl so I didn't hold back anything when Donald forced that final incompletion.
