Ha. I've had 30 years of practice for the menopause days/months/years.
My wife not only had extreme periods, but her ovulating times were also painful. Putting her on the pill helped some, but Scary Mary (her chosen nickname) was rarely absent. Until she had a hysterectomy in 2008. But she was 46 then. The next few years were spent with back troubles and 2 back surgeries.

This website is a freakin hoot.
I admire all you married guys who work on this stuff. I was never any good at it.
I do work with a woman who is menopausal. But just like with my ex-wife, I frequently say the wrong thing. I told her we're going to have a funeral for her menopause when it's all over. She wasn't very amused by that.
