This thread will keep track of every NFL player, coach, or front office staff, past and present, who is accused and/or convicted of a crime. Keep in mind that all are innocent until proven guilty. This will include both present and former members of the NFL. Last years thread went to 20 pages. Let's hope no members of the Rams franchise end up on this list.

Vince Young arrested for DWI
Posted by Mike Florio on January 25, 2016

A decade ago, quarterback Vince Young had it all. Fresh from a Rose Bowl performance for the ages, Young rocketed to the No. 3 spot in the draft and landed with the Titans.

Young would become the 2006 NFL offense rookie of the year, and he’d land on the cover of the 2008 Madden game. That September, things started to unravel, with a bizarre incident on a Monday night that prompted concerns Young may harm himself.

He’d remain with the Titans two more seasons before being jettisoned in a purge that also sent coach Jeff Fisher packing. Young would land in Philly after the lockout, coining the unfortunate “Dream Team” after he signed to serve as the backup to Mike Vick.

Amid tales of legendary cash-burning (including a $5,000-per-week habit at the Cheesecake Factory), Young thereafter bounced around the league, from the Bills to the Packers to the Browns, never again appearing in a regular-season game and eventually stepping away (involuntarily) from the NFL. The fact that his phone didn’t ring as the Colts scraped guys like Josh Freeman from the bottom of the barrel shows that it’s as over for Young as it is for Tim Tebow.

Two years removed from his last stint with an NFL team, Young has been arrested for driving while intoxicated in Austin, according to FOX 7 in Austin. The arrest has been confirmed by the authorities, but no details are available just yet.

Here’s hoping Young gets it together now that football is clearly in his rear-view mirror, even though at age 32 he should still be playing.

Police recommend felony charges against Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman
Posted by Curtis Crabtree on January 25, 2016

Bellevue Police recommended to prosecutors on Monday that Seattle Seahawks fullback Derrick Coleman be charged with felony hit-and-run and vehicular assault stemming from an October accident that left the victim with head injuries and a broken collarbone.

According to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times, the Bellevue Police Department released a 101-page report Monday detailing their investigation into Coleman’s accident on October 14. The investigation claims that Coleman told officers he had smoked synthetic marijuana before the crash.

“A lighter, a glass spoon pipe with tarry residue, an opened bag of synthetic cannabinoid and three unopened bags of synthetic cannabinoids” were found in Coleman’s vehicle, per police. He was jailed for two days following the incident and suspended one game by the Seahawks. He missed a second game due to a concussion sustained in the crash.

Coleman allegedly left the immediate area of the crash scene following the incident while barefoot. He was found by police about two blocks away around 20 minutes after the incident and was “calm and cooperative” with authorities.

Coleman’s truck was traveling at 60 mph in a 35 mph zone and hit a Honda Civic. His foot remained on the accelerator for several seconds after impact, driving the Civic 260 feet down the road until it was pushed off the roadway, up a hill and flipped over, according to the police report.

Coleman had eight carries for 32 yards in 14 games this season and made one start at running back in December after Thomas Rawls was lost for the season. He’s appeared in 31 games over the past three seasons and is a standout special teams player for Seattle. He’s set to be a restricted free agent this offseason.

Former NFL running back Derek Loville busted in drug ring
Posted by Darin Gantt on January 29, 2016

Former Broncos, 49ers and Seahawks running back Derek Loville has been a busy guy since leaving the NFL.

But he may be wearing a new uniform soon, after he was named in a federal indictment accused of drug trafficking, sports gambling and money laundering.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the 47-year-old Loville was part of a group of 22 people rounded up for a drug ring that stretched across the country. The group was led by a former Southern Cal football player named Owen Hanson who was already in custody. Loville reportedly distributed drugs in Arizona.

The report said the drug ring sent a video to one man’s home which showed two men beheaded with a chainsaw and a butcher’s knife, and sent him pictures of the desecrated gravesite of his parents to try to scare him into paying money he owed.

The group was also involved with gambling and laundering money through shell corporations.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-another-incident-between-manziel-girlfriend/

Fort Worth Police responded early Saturday to what they called “an altercation” between Johnny Manziel and his girlfriend.

A police spokesman told Omar Villafranca of CBS News that Manziel was not arrested and that a report on the incident has not been completed.

Manziel, for now, is employed by the Browns. He and then-girlfriend Colleen Crowley also dealt with police in Northeast Ohio following an October argument that started on the highway and extended back near Manziel’s suburban home. It’s not clear if Crowley is the woman involved in this incident, but she lives in the Fort Worth area.

Crowley told police Manziel had pressed her head against a window during their October incident but later tweeted “it was just an argument.” The NFL investigated and decided not to discipline Manziel.

Manziel got benched in November for apparently lying to then-coach Mike Pettine about videos and photos that popped up on social media. He started again in December but didn’t finish the season after the Browns said he a concussion. He then missed a required treatment and reports surfaced that he’d been partying in Las Vegas the night before the Browns’ 2015 season finale.

New Browns Coach Hue Jackson has said he’s yet to speak with Manziel and that the team has made no decision on his future.

At this point, it would be more surprising to see Manziel do something productive for society. What a sorry excuse for a person.

Police searched for Manziel with helicopter
Posted by Mike Florio on January 30, 2016

Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel may have felt a little like Ray Liotta in that weird final half hour of Goodfellas.

Via Mark David Smith of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth police have issued a statement indicating that a helicopter was used to search for Manziel following whatever it was that happened between him and a female on Saturday morning.

The report indicates that a “possible assault” occurred, but that the potential victim (who referred to Manziel as her ex-boyfriend) was not cooperative. The helicopter search apparently resulted from Manziel’s ex-girlfriend’s concerns for his well-being and an inability to locate him through “cell phone numbers associated with him.”

Although no arrest was made, it’s another alarming example of possible misbehavior from a guy who continues to make one bad decision after another. While the Browns surely hope that they can trade him to another team, at some point the only responsible thing to do will be to cut him.

Reports: Giants’ Jay Bromley accused of attempted rape
Posted by Michael David Smith on January 30, 2016

Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley was accused of attempting to rape a woman in a New York hotel early this morning.

The New York Post reports that Bromley met the 26-year-old woman on Instagram, picked her up at her home and took her to a hotel. The report says the woman willingly performed oral sex on Bromley but that “something took place where she didn’t want it to take place.”

The New York Daily News reports that the woman says Bromley “became violent” and tried to rape her.

Reports say that the woman asked him to drive her home, and he refused. Outside the hotel, the woman reportedly jumped on the hood of Bromley’s car to keep him from leaving but he continued to drive, and she fell off the hood, suffering injuries to her legs. The woman called police at around 4 a.m.

The Giants have confirmed that they are aware of the story but otherwise have not commented.

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Bromley was selected out of Syracuse in the third round of the 2014 NFL draft. He played in all 16 games last year, with four starts.

Joseph Randle arrested in Texas
Posted by Josh Alper on February 1, 2016

Off-field issues helped cost running back Joseph Randle his spot on the Cowboys roster last season and he’s landed in trouble again to kick off the offseason.

Randle was arrested early Monday morning in Irving, Texas near the home of his ex-girlfriend. Irving police said that Randle went to her home hoping to get some sleep before driving back to his home in Kansas. Per the police, Randle “was not welcome there” and residents called the police.

When the police arrived, they found an outstanding warrant for speeding and Randle was arrested.

Randle was arrested in 2014 for shoplifting and again in February 2015 after an argument with his ex-girlfriend. Criminal charges were not filed in the case, but the NFL suspended Randle for four games under the personal conduct policy in November. Randle was already gone from the Cowboys at that point and he may have a hard time finding another door into the league this offseason.

Colts LB Jackson sued over alleged assault
Posted by Zac Jackson on February 1, 2016

Colts linebacker D’Qwell Jackson is being sued by a man he allegedly assaulted early last year.

Per the Indy Star, the suit stems from the Feb. 2015 incident during which Jackson allegedly assaulted a pizza delivery driver during a spat over a parking spot in Washington, D.C. The driver, Jose Bonilla-Fuentes, said Jackson threated his life and “tried to choke me.”

It sounds very much like something Jackson wishes would just go away, but a year after the incident and 10 months since Jackson first apologized to his teammates for it, it’s back in the news.

A non-jury trial on the assault charge is scheduled for March.

Ex-Cowboy says 'this is the end of my career' during latest arrest
Joseph Randle has had a lot of legal trouble the past few months.

By Nunzio Ingrassia

Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle knew exactly what his latest run-in with the law meant.

Randle, who was arrested earlier this week on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, told the arresting police officers that "this is the end of my career." Randle, who was cut by the Cowboys in early November, was arrested near the home of his ex-girlfriend in Irving, Texas. TMZ obtained footage of the arrest.

Randle was taken into custody and released on bond.

This is the latest in a string of incidents with the law. Randle was arrested in November on suspicion of criminal threat, assault of a law enforcement officer, battery, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and interference with a law enforcement officer after an incident at a casino in Kansas.

Randle, who was suspended four games by the NFL under the league's personal conduct policy, was arrested last February in Wichita, Kansas, on a domestic disturbance complaint:palm:. Police declined to pursue charges in that incident. Randle was also charged with shoplifting:eek: after being accused of trying to take a bottle of cologne:shocked: and a pack of underwear :headexplosion:from a department store at a Dallas-area mall.

Is this dude crazy? underware??? cologne??? professional football player????? wtf????:wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:

NFL is off to a smashing start for 2016. Geez. All though none of the ones so far are surprising. Randle definitely has to have mental issues that needs addressed before he ends up killing someone or himself.

Manziel might just be the NFLs very own affluenza case?

Montee Ball arrested after dispute with girlfriend

Running back Montee Ball’s playing career went in the wrong direction this season and things have now taken a bad turn for him off the field as well.

Ball was arrested in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday morning after an altercation with his girlfriend. According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Ball was taken to Dane County Jail on a “tentative charge” of substantial battery.

“The woman told police she had a dispute with her boyfriend,” a police source told the newspaper. “She said he put his hands on her, picked her up and threw her.”

The woman told police that she suffered a cut on her leg that required stitches. Ball was described as “cooperative” when police arrived at the hotel at 3:40 a.m. to respond to the call.

Ball, a 2013 second-round pick, was released by the Broncos in September. He signed with the Patriots practice squad late in the season, but was not signed to a future contract when New England’s season ended with an AFC championship game loss to his former team.

On February 5, 2013, Young was claimed off waivers by the St. Louis Rams. The Rams were the only team that turned in a waiver claim for Young. However, he was released 10 days later, with the Rams saying they wanted to go "in a different direction". According to Sports Illustrated, the Rams cut ties with him due to concerns about his behavior. He seemed lost in interviews with head coach Jeff Fisher and other team personnel, and threw a fit when he was briefly barred from boarding a flight to Los Angeles after forgetting his ID.

Report: Ex-Lions receiver Titus Young arrested for assault, again

Former Detroit Lions receiver Titus Young has been arrested again.

According to TMZ Sports, Young was arrested after allegedly causing “serious bodily injury” to another man during a fight on January 30. The report states that Young has been charged with felony battery with serious bodily injury.

With Young already serving five years probation after pleading no contest to a felony battery charge in May 2015, Young will almost certainly be heading to jail this time around.

Young was arrested three times in the same week in 2013 for various incidents that included trying to break his own car out of the police impound. He was then arrested again in July 2014 for the altercation that led to his no contest plea in May.

Young had 81 receptions for 990 yards and 10 touchdowns in his two seasons with Detroit from 2011-12. However, issues within the team and legal issues led to his release in Feburary 2013.

Broncos safety Ryan Murphy sent home from Super Bowl after prostitution sting
The Denver Broncos rookie Ryan Murphy will play no further part in his team’s Super Bowl campaign after being caught up in a prostitution sting.

Police detained and questioned Murphy and his brother over the incident before the Denver safety – who is part of the practice squad – was released without charge. The Broncos, however, decided to send Murphy home.

“Although practice squad safety Ryan Murphy was not cited by police, we decided it was best for the team if we continued our preparations for Super Bowl 50 without him,” the Broncos coach, Gary Kubiak, said in a statement. “Ryan is returning to Denver but his status as a practice squad player has not changed at this time.”

According to KPIX-TV police detained a suspected prostitute near a motel in San Jose. When she told the police she needed to get something from her car, they found Murphy and his brother in the vehicle. Murphy’s brother was reportedly cited for solicitation.

A spokesman for the Santa Clara Country Sheriff would not comment on the case but told the San Jose Mercury News officers had been conducting anti-human-trafficking operations in the area recently, and had cited 10 individuals for solicitation.

On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers were given a talk by the former Atlanta Falcons safety Eugene Robinson, who was arrested for solicitation the night before theSuper Bowl in 1999. The Falcons lost the game to the Broncos. Robinson, who is now a broadcaster, called the incident the “worst night of my life”.

“Coach Kubiak made it clear, everybody has to be accountable,’’ said the Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall. “That’s an unfortunate situation, that he had to go home, because I think he’s a good guy. Just unfortunate.’’

Murphy was drafted by the Seahawks in the seventh round of last year’s draft before he was waived in September. He joined the Broncos in November.

Okay, while not a real criminal, I thought I'd put this in here...Why, I don't know..bored I guess...still strange a guy gets "caught" in a sting and no arrest was made....Guarantee he'll be cut before next season.

Bills running back LeSean McCoy is accused of assaulting two off-duty police officers early Sunday morning, ABC-6 in Philadelphia reported Monday.

The report says both officers were hospitalized after the incident that occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Recess Lounge in Philadelphia’s Old City district.

The report said neither McCoy nor a friend who was also involved were arrested. An investigation is ongoing.

McCoy played for the Eagles from 2009-14 before being traded last year.

So which team is going to want Manziel, with the increasing likelihood of a suspension facing him? It's one thing for the Cowboys to figure a star is worth dealing with a suspension - he is still far from a star though.
