Started poorly, but really came along as the season went on, with a full season under his belt and hopefully a full season with Sam he should be a 1,000+ yard receiver with another few hundred on the ground next season. I really wouldn't mind if we went into next season with him and Bailey as our top 2, if we decide we have the room to add a first round pick even better.

If Quick would get his sh-t together we wouldn't have to even think about going WR in this draft. With the guys we currently have on our roster we should be good but Quick is the key to that. If we think he's there then we focus elsewhere, but if not we can't afford to waste another year while he develops.
Tavon can only be effective if used correctly - Schotty got better with that as the year went on. He should be a weapon of mass destruction for us next year.

If you read the descriptions for each, it pretty much makes the ratings pointless. Many of the best rookies had negative numbers but the descriptions go on to say how well they played. You're probably better off going by their descriptions than by those numbers.

There will be absolutely no way to know this going in to next year and frankly, it's a pipe dream to consider it. He's lost between the ears AND in the aggressiveness department when fighting for position or the ball.

Draft Watkins and hope for any production from 83, that's the smart thing to do.

Just for the sake of adding a little perspective here. How can YOU possibly know that he "is lost between the ears"? Are you sitting in the meeting room? Are you watching film with him? Are you the one who is struggling to teach him the playbook? Are you privy to the information the coaching staff is expecting him to know, and the role they are asking him to fulfill? If so, please, by all means, share that inside information with the rest of us.

Or are you just spouting an of the cuff opinion as if it is fact?

Same could be said about a lot of young WR's though. It's a difficult position to adopt to the pro game and Quick wasn't even at step one when he was drafted. He was like -2 steps.

To me, he's progressed. Until he plateaus, I'm not ready to suggest he can't be a #1 type.

That said; based on what we've seen it's a risky wager and I'd have no trouble drafting another WR.

Actually, he has received information that this stuff about Quick is true. Granted he is just a guy on a msg board that you don't know. I assure you though, for what it is worth, there is information, that comes from people on the team that supports how lost Quick is.
