I'm not sure where to post this, since there's a few Austin-themed threads goin' on.

I too see the possibility of him off the board in the first 10 - the Browns at 6 maybe?? OR I wouldn't be too surprised to see Minnesota trade up with say Miami, to secure a 'New' Harvin???

I also figure it's worth stating since I spend so much time talking about Tavon Austin, I have no issues with the Rams taking Cordarrelle Patterson with either 1st. The people concerned that they don't want another "Quick", squash that fear. Yea, he's raw but his athletic traits and skill on the field are so freakish that it's absolutely worth giving him time to develop if he can be a game changer at WR.

The Rams will have to do their research into his character, work ethic and football IQ as those are questions that I cannot answer but if they deem all are good, I'm all for the kid. Cordarrelle is a freakish athlete with movement skills worth drooling over. Despite his rawness as a route runner, it's apparent how good he can be if he puts his mind to it. His fluidity and hip flexibility are off the charts. Can flip his hips and change direction like it's nothing. Just needs to work on being more explosive in and out of his cuts while also polishing his technique.

His game is very unconventional(even down to the way he lines up) but his athletic traits are so off the charts that it makes it easy to overlook.

The Draft isn't just for 2013...it's for the next 5 to 10 years if you do it right.

Yep. We should be striving to emulate the Green Bay model. Draft and develop your own receivers, and keep adding more until you have a stable of really good ones.
