In my opinion, McVay and Snead have pushed all their chips into the pot and it's Super Bowl or bust. Given that the Rams have only won one Super Bowl, I'd be okay if they won it all this season and had to let some free agents walk after the season.

Management would have to evaluate which core players they'll need to keep in order to re-load for another run at a title but at least we'd have another trophy in the show case.

The addition of Peters, Talib, Suh and now Cooks is a sign that the Rams see this season as one where they can win it all. My only concern is addressing OL depth, and the edge/LB corps. Hopefully there's some hidden talent that can be found in this years second day draft that can fill some of these needs.

I'm on board. Onto the Super Bowl! Of course all the added talent still needs to be cohesive. There's no pride in being a champion on paper. :wow:

We will sign Donald, Goff, Gurley, Peters, Cooks to long term contracts

Those are our core young players.

Demoff and FO have been doing a great job managing contracts

This team is still young and getting younger

Why would McVay - who is just a year over 30 - be going "all-in" over any other year. They went all in last year. I mean it goes without saying that every single season is Super Bowl or Bust. I mean what is McVay supposed to do next year, shrug his shoulders and say we went "all in" last year ... Goff is a kid

Remember we have that huge state of the art stadium that'll need to be filled in a couple years - this team is totally being built for the long haul

Talib and Suh are spectacular veteran additions but this team is still really really young at it's core

Of the name guys they acquired. I think suh is one and done and talib 2 and done. I don’t imagine they view Peters, Cooks, Donald, Gurley and Goff as guys they’re cool losing in the next 3 off seasons.

This makes sense.

I hope that's not the case.

My hope is that they made moves with guys budgeted in and inside that room they know they can get these guys signed. Because otherwise we're going to see this team slide in a year or two when the lost draft capital and departing talent create too many weaknesses for them to overcome in a short window.

Can they not just repeat this off season again in a couple years from now if that happens?

I'm not crazy about trading the first, but right now they should still have 3 thirds next year to add depth, and hopefully hit on a star or two. They could easily have multiple other comp picks the year after, even if they can sign the key players.

At this stage I'm assuming they are banking on either a strike or a major increase in players' percentage of revenue in a couple of seasons. If the latter, then having stars signed to go beyond that period, with a sudden increase in cap room to fill in JAGs, makes sense. Of course, without a major increase it will be a CAP apocalypse.

How many of those guys will be the highest paid at their position or at least top 3?

Gonna be damn interesting to see how this team strikes a balance on it's roster.

I wish I had your confidence. I believe those guys will command:

$25 million, $27 million, $17 million, $16 million, $15 million - a combined $100 million.

Nope. A bust would be missing the playoffs.

This.

Hard to say super bowl or bust when the super bowl champ did so without who would have been MVP of the league. It appears the Vikings upgraded QB too. I'd say it's a 3 team race with the Steelers or Patriots possibly figuring in.

Other fans are so worried about this team. They are terrified what they could be. This was a superbowl roster last year. I feel like people forget we have our QB too.

Haha, just watching the idiots on nfl live and they have a segment where they picked 8 teams that had the best off-season. The rams came up against the skins and that shitstick teddy bruschi picked the skins. Haha, fuck me.

I was so much happier when i didn't watch this show for a couple of months. I guess i just like to be offended by their stupidity.

Haha, fuck me. Guess who these geniuses picked as having the best off-season? I don't even have to say their name. They are the media darlings this season.

What they are doing now is not sustainable. If you keep giving up high picks for rentals, you're going to end up paying the price sooner than later. So they have to turn some of those rentals into long term signed players. And sign the key guys from their own drafted/developed crop.
