Rams at Titans Postgame Notes (8-23-15)

  • The Rams fell to the Titans, 14-27, in their 12th all-time preseason meeting between the teams. Tennessee holds an 8-4 advantage in the series.
  • QB Nick Foles completed three-of-seven passes for 18 yards. Foles saw action in the first four possessions of the game.
  • QB Case Keenum took over for the final drive of the first half and led the offense for five drives. Keenum compiled seven completions for 164 yards, one touchdown on a long of 80 yards and no interceptions for a passer rating of 102.1.
  • On Keenum’s fourth possession of the night at quarterback, he connected with WR Chris Givens for an 80-yard touchdown reception. Givens’ longest reception of his career in regular season play is 65 yards.
  • QB Austin Davis saw action for one drive and completed one-of-two passes for 21 yards.
  • Rookie QB Sean Mannion finished out the night at quarterback and completed five-of-six passes for 39 yards for a 93.8 passer rating in two possessions.
  • WR Stedman Bailey caught a 29-yard pass from Keenum.
  • RB Trey Watts nabbed a 33-yard reception from Keenum. Watt’s picked up back-to-back 10-plus yard gains followed two nine-yard gains late in the third quarter.
  • Watts finished the game with six rushes for 53 yards, along with three receptions for 46 yards.
  • Watts led the team in rushing yards (53) and attempts (six).
  • Rookie RB Malcolm Brown caught a pass from Mannion and ran it back 54 yards for a touchdown. Brown (78) trailed Givens (80) by two yards in the lead for receiving yards. Brown led the team in receptions with four.
  • According to press box statistics, CB Lamarcus Joyner led the team in tackles with five (four solo).
  • P Johnny Hekker punted three times for 108 yards with a 36-yard average and a 35.3-yard net.
  • P Michael Palardy punted three times for 108 yards, a 39-yard average, 38.7-yard net and placed two punts inside the 20-yard line.
  • RB Isaiah Pead returned two kickoffs for 59 yards, a 29.5-yard average and had a long of 30 yards.
