This movie is going to break many box office records in my opinion. We may be looking at the top grossing movie of all time, overtaking Avatar. Trailer is awesome. Not to mention all the notoriety Star Wars already has with generations of fans. Just wait until the next trailer where we see Luke and Leia and the villains of this movie. I can't wait to go see this.

Same here, it looks so much better than the prequels, it's nice to have a real director behind the project now, I expect good things.

Of course Disney is going to whore it out and we'll get sick of it after a million spin offs, but I think this next one will be good.

From what I read It seems that this stormtrooper is called Captain Phasma, and is part of an elite guard and is a hardcore follower of Vader, the character is played by Brienne from Game of Thrones.

I told myself I was gonna wait until I saw this trailer in theaters to get the full effect but I couldn't wait. Loved everything I saw and the bit with Han and Chewie sealed the deal. Can't wait.

Leaked Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One trailer

I don't think they've started shooting this movie yet , but Disney put together this teaser for their Star Wars Celebration

I'm not sure how long this video will be on line before Disney makes them take it down

Rogue one takes place between episodes 6 and 7. It's about the Rebels attempt to steal the Death Star plans before it can be made. It will be released late 2016. Disney has plans for a Star Wars movie to be released every year through 2019 with spin offs released in between each episode of 7-9.

Straight from the Disney Live Action panel at D23 Expo comes a photo of the official Rogue One cast. The film was previously referred to as a “Star Wars Anthology” but is now designated “A Star Wars Story.”

Joining Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything) is Diego Luna (Milk, Killing Them Softly), Ben Mendelsohn (“Bloodline,” Mississippi Grind), Donnie Yen (Ip Man, Blade II), Jiang Wen (Let the Bullets Fly, Devils on the Doorstep), Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland), Mads Mikkelsen (“Hannibal,” Casino Royale), Alan Tudyk (“Firefly”) who plays a performance-capture character in the film, and Riz Ahmed (Nightcrawler, Four Lions).

“Rogue One takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe,” says Kathleen Kennedy. “It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know. Gareth is such an innovative director and I’m so excited to be working with him and the extraordinary ensemble cast he’s selected for ‘Rogue One.’”
