St. Louis fans and the 49ers

Being the Newly appointed "Oldest Ram Fan at ROD" (even though I'm in Cal.) I'd like to weigh in here By Saying "NOBODY HAS HAITED THE 49ERS LONGER THAN ME, AND YOU'LL NEVER HAIT THEM 'MORE' THAN ME!"

This is turning into just general "Why I hate the 49ers" stories no matter what city a Rams fan is from.

And I have absolutely no problem with that.

I fucking despise the 49ers, with the Patriots a close second.
Not the same with the hags, but getting there. Tired of their act, their fans, and Sherman.
Always kinda' liked the Cards actually, other than obviously wanting them to lose being (now) a division rival.

One of the biggest joys of my life ... top 5 ... was the 49ers losing a SB. Not because I wanted the players to lose (I often feel bad for the SB loser) but because I wanted their freaking fans to know the pain of a SB loss.

I have always hated the 9ers. Both as a St Louis Cardinal, and then Rams fan. The Cardinals I dislike for taking off.

I do wish we would switch with Oakland as I think that St Louis/KC rivalry would be one of the greatest in sports. Even a switch to the AFC South would bring us close division games in Indy and Tennessee. Who's got the money to fly to SF or Seattle? You could realistically go to 4 away games with some carefully placed vacation days.

--Dude you need to remember where The Rams came from first off,& what the rivalry meant to So Cal Ram fans.You can F-the Chiefs,but have to remember the Raiders rivalry as well.You don't even remember The Saints & Rams.I don't think you know the passion of some older NFL fans.Remember the AFL & NFL & Football History.
--I'll say this Monday Night game is pretty awesome though because of The Cards & Giants the last 4 years. It adds a extra dislike from both Cities to each other.
Go Giants !!! Buster Posey, Buster Posey.Hate that Molina neck tat.Both HOF type catchers though.

the 9'ers cost me my first marriage, sort of

her brothers were all Niner fans, and so she became one also. After we got hitched they found out I was a RAMS fan and proceeded to torture me endlessly, until I came home from a dart tourney after beating one of the older brothers in it. He started mouthing off at me about the Rams and I decked him. Things just went downhill from there !!


Ok maybe it isnt the 9'ers fault, but I cant blame ,myself now can I?

The team I love to hate is the 49ers and it ain't close. Since the 80s their fans have become so unbearable with their smug my dog is better than your dog attitude.

The SOSAR incident forever cemented my hatred for that team and their fans.

In my neck of the woods every 49er game is televised. I guess its ok since my second favorite team is whoever plays them.

Oh, the Patriots are a distant second on the list. No one else even registers on my hate meter.

I used to participate in a Niner Haters board all the time back in the day and I'm glad they got there and lost too.

Why?

Because of 49ers fans constantly pretending that Green Bay wasn't better than them because the pre-Super Bowl NFL Championships didn't count somehow... and the Cowboys weren't better than them because the Cowboys were 5-3 and the Niners were 5-0. (This was before the Steelers won #5 and #6, and no, I'm not sure how not getting to the Super Bowl at all is better than getting there and losing.)

At least the latter part of that is dead now...

Point is the NFL is going to change when LA gets its teams. and as you pointed out inadvertently, geographical rivalries are the hottest. And as of now, the Rams are in St Louis. Of course, if they move back there, basing their rivalries according to So California would make more sense.

I really hate the San Francisco and Seattle fans more than anything because when I lurk in their forums they're always talking big time shit and both can be smug as hell.
