I don't know Harbaugh personally of course but he just seems like a dick. He seemed like a dick as a player too. That being said, he's done nothing but win.....at Stanford and SF. I hope he goes to Michigan and retires there.
I think he must be a raging dick. He has had success everywhere he has been but has never lasted anywhere.
That said, York and the Whiners FO is the same lame group that put together a pretty good run of losing seasons before Harbaby arrived.
So, they are cutting ties with a winning and popular coach and they are really on the hook with Kaperdoodle for next year and thats it.
So, they either figure out an O that will work with their QB or they cut ties with him after next year (which they can do without getting killed with the cap) and rebuild in total. I am guess after next year Kap is gone and the Whiners are in rebuild mode with a generally bad front office.

I personally think Harba's "winning" is so overrated.

Stanford was 4-8 and 5-7 -- two losing seasons before two seasons of winning. And the reason Stanford finally won was Andrew Luck became the QB, not anything Harba did.

SF had zero injuries and ridiculous lucky turnover differentials in his first 3 years. Absent that luck he has now been exposed as a loser.

When evaluating coaches, win-loss records must be taken into context of circumstances, personnel, etc. I've mentioned this before but a great example of how little win-loss records should be used for coaches is George Seifert's gaudy 98-30 record with the 49ers. But by the time he finished 1-15 with Carolina, the truth was known -- just like the truth will be known about Harba in the end.

Chuck Norris good right there Fatbot..........

The press jumped on this bandwagon early and will do all they can to avoid admitting how wrong they have been.
He really displays the illusion, the lie, of the running QB in the NFL.

Yeah I agree it'll take a minute for them to catch up to us LOL.

I have to admit the prospect of CK trying to run McDaniels O would be huge, because it's really difficult and I don't think Keapernick can do it because he can't read defenses. Making the line calls will get him killed when he plays in the division with the wicked pass rushes he'd have to face.

I'm not saying CK is dumb, he isn't he's actually pretty intelligent, but he's never had to read defenses and in that system if you can't read what the D is bringing then pass rushers can end up coming in unblocked. Look how much Bradford struggled with it and CK isn't better than Bradford at reading a defense.

It's such a horrible fit that I don't know why they would even consider it and so it HAS to happen hahaha.

The thing that had always bothered me about Harbahhumbug is how he whines profusely after EVERY penalty call (actually every call of any kind) against the whiners...I mean EVERY one...Throws his hands up runs around yelling what was that ??? What a tool...

Looking at his physical talent it would be tempting for any OC I would think. Physically the guy has it all. Jeff George arm and Randall Cunningham legs.
Like you said, he has not learned to read well. Last night the Whiners seemed to sort of say, ok, if your read isn't there feel free to run. That is probably the best approach with him at this point. He is still relatively young and might actually benefit from sitting for a year....although that won't happen I am sure.
Playing under Chris Ault here in Reno, running the pistol....that offense is designed to take reads AWAY from the QB. Despite his huge arm talent Nevada was the only school that offered him a scholarship to play QB. Ault was smart enough to know he was a perfect match for his offense (the current Nevada QB recently joined Kap as the only two in history to throw for over 12,000 yards and rush for over 3,000 yards in a career and is project as a 3rd or so round draft pick). So, Kap came into the NFL basically as a guy who spent four years in college NOT making reads by design. There were some signs of progress early on this year I think and he generally does not throw a lot of pics, but, he has regressed again (good). So, I don't see that match either, unless they are going to run some variation of it.
The problem with the NFL and offenses like the pistol or the wildcat or whatever is DCs will always adjust. The QB is starting in a set place in the same spot every play. There are limited options there in terms of running for the QB no matter how it was disguised. I don't know if teams have figured out how to keep Kap in the pocket or if SF has been forcing him to stay in the pocket....but he has NO feel for moving in the pocket. As soon as he senses pressure his eyes come down to the line and he is not looking to pass (very much like Davis this year), not ability yet to slide in the pocket and find the open guy.
Sorry, that is a very long winded way of saying....I agree.

Last night he was screaming at a ref for a penalty and the ref looked at him and then threw the flag. Even the announcers said it was a ticky tack foul

I appreciate the insight into the college system, I don't follow college ball so I didn't know that about how the coach designed that system. Interesting stuff!

The fact that you're here still following the Rams after so much losing shows it's more than just win-loss records for fans. And I could never feel good having a whiny ass like that as a coach, there's no amount of wins that he can wear as a deodorant for his stink.

The stink is never as bad when the guy is on your team's side.

Example. Many of the same fans who vilified Gregg Williams pre-hire now seem to be on his side.
From what I read, Cortland Finnegan antics didn't seem to have many fans here either. Until he joined the Rams.

I wouldn't replace Fisher for Harbaugh, but if it happened and the Rams had his so-called "luck," I'd be thrilled.
