I'm looking for Goff & Higbee day one...in frisco...

I'm looking for Quick to beat out Britt or Tavon....let Tavon & Coop run the plays in...or however they do that now...
on defense...
I'm looking for Westbrooks to finally get some serious run...esp on 3rd down..

Westbrooke had a nice sack & will get a lot of playing time with Hayes a head of him.The old veteran will need rest.

Now onto my position on Goff. I might be the only member here that does not see him being a legit starter with Fisher this season if both Case & Sean are healthy. I see Goff as the opening season starter in 2017. I sure hope I am 100% wrong & your totally right on this subject.

The only way Goff doesn't start, barring injury, is if Keenum is killing it. Keenum's in a position that many veteran QBs have been in- a placeholder until the rookie is ready. Unless Keenum wins game after game, Goff will start this season, most likely fairly early, and I'm of the belief that he still has a good chance to start week 1. You don't make that type of trade to have your QB sit the whole season.

We have such a young team. And we're so close to putting the finishing touches on an incredible rebuild project. We're a WR away now. Maybe one of the draft picks steps up.

I'm not concerned with how many rookies are labeled "starters" as I am with how many rookies make the roster. A starter is in on the first play for O or D. After that, guys get shuffled in and out on the DL, at WR, RB, TE and defensive backfield. I think the major rookie starter to be concerned about is Goff. After that, I don't see another rookie starter. But there will surely be rookie contributors.

I agree with Bonifay Ram, the rookies, including Golf have a long way to go before starting.
Higbee is the closest.

You and @BonifayRam must have inside info....after looking at the QB's....Goff is nowhere near a starter....Unless we are tanking...Guy is staring at targets..no way reading the field...maybe this is by design...almost every play is dump off, or short throw, right in front of his face. If he can become a starter in the next 3 weeks, Boras/Weinke/Groh are miracle workers....

I was pumped when we traded up for Goff and I thought it would be fun watching him play this year, even if he struggles.

But now I'm wondering if we should start Keenum all year and sit Goff ala Carson Palmer. Could be very beneficial for the future and this season is going to be tough anyways due to the move and travel schedule.

I understand....but I would have never made that trade to begin with though.........way too much of a gamble & way too high of a price that would never bring in a return to match the cost. I am one of the few people of this world who rarely gambles even with a lottery ticket. I truly, truly want to be sooo wrong on this trust me.

Guys, maybe we need to redefine our terms.

When I project a rookie as a starter, that doesn't mean that they are necessarily opening day starters. Just a starter at some point during the season. Okay?

By this definition I see 3 starters from our rookie corps.

Goff
Higbee
Either Cooper or Spruce in the slot.

I will be stunned if 3 of the above 4 players are NOT starters at some point in the '16 season.

I don't know how that can be. It's a gamble taking a player at #16 or in the 2nd or 3rd round. How many wash out? Many. The draft is a gamble from the jump so why not trade some of those yet to be realized picks for one who seems like he's got the best chance to be successful......and here's the key......at the most glaring position of need on your team? Get him now, not when a similar guy "falls to you" in 3 years....or when a 3rd round guy you already have develops into a "decent" QB in 3 years. By then guys like Quinn are on the downside. The sooner you can put players with very high talent levels on the field at the same time, the sooner you become a legit contender.

Snead drafts have been far better than what most Ram fans have seen over many decades. He has done very well & given more chances with the normal allotments of selection's, his Gamble using your words has been much better than most others (most 2012 thru 2015).

To trade away major most priceless chances (draft selections in day one & day two) for two drafts (2016/2017) that have placed us in a excellent position to grow over the last four season will cost & it will begin to show up here after this season.

That QB you traded all those teams assets for might not even be as good as a Dak Prescott who the Rams could have taken with their 4th round selection this draft. Only time will tell here for us but I believe strongly it was a very big gamble & gambles rarely pay off such as this. You & I will not agree on this subject.

I don't understand the Longacre love. Sims is much better.

Ian Seau seems like a perfect trade candidate. He is too small for 4/3 DE, but a 3/4 team could be eying him as an OLB pass rush specialist. Maybe the Rams can get a pick for him.
