Free Agency Update
2015 NFL Free Agents

Evan Silva

http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/51589/309/2015-nfl-free-agents

With access to NFL Players Association data, Rotoworld can generate the most accurate free agent list on the internet. The free agents below are ranked loosely in order of how we project them to be valued on the open market.

Keep in mind that franchise tags and re-signings will inevitably deplete the market. Things pick up quickly in the days preceding the March 7 negotiating period, and the market will largely evaporate one week after the official start of free agency on March 10.

Keep in mind most of these guys won't be available. Teams will sign their own guys first. We will see who actually hits the market.

Out of the Quarterbacks I like Matt Moore the best. He'll be 31 this year, athletic and has had some degree of success, however, sounds like a younger Shaun Hill.

Did Fisher draft Locker? I think he might still have some potential
Not sure. I think Fish was on his year off. But he might be a top target of several teams due to his age. Bad thing he's hurt about as much as Bradford.

To me this is the most important area for the Rams to concentrate on!!

I'd still take a flyer on Mallet if possible. I think he's got the physical ability of a passer, just not sure about the intangibles.

On an unrelated note, I think the majority of the 49ers secondary hits FA, so that's fun!

More I peruse that list the more I think the following two guys have a good chance to be pursued by the Rams.

QB Gabbert. Overdrafted, never did develop but that situation in Jax was not good. He does have some experience under his belt now, and more importantly the height that I think Fish will be looking for. Basically he is a very cheap veteran (judging from the 6th round pick compensation when the 9ers traded for him) who will be an affordable signing but who does retain some upside with his size and physical tools. I see him as a fallback option of sorts for them if they don't get whatever target they might have in trade.

OT Roos. I think Fish is tired of being burned by FA at the OL positions. Going after Roos gives him a very good bookend pair of tackles and allows him and Snead to focus the interior OL in the draft with a couple strong prospects that should be available to compete relatively quickly in camp. It precludes needing to overpay for Barks as well, and if they do get him for an affordable rate may be able to add both since the Rams have a couple guys coming off the books at that position. Strongly suspect the Rams will push for him as their top signing target.

Of course Roos may not hit the market, we'll have to wait and see. And with Gabbert he will obviously not preclude drafting a QB.
